On February 10, 2022, White was traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, a 2022 first-round pick (which turned into Blake Wesley), and the rights to swap 2028 first-round picks.

The best part of D-White's development is his ability to thrive on both ends of the floor, a true gamechanger that has brought dividends to the Celtics. Jaylen Brown always brings up the energy shifting for the squad, Derrick White is the true energy shifter for the Celtics. #nba

These accomplishments translated to two NBA Finals appearances, an Olympic Gold Medal, and, most importantly, an NBA Championship (with a chipped tooth). ⬇️ #derrickwhite #celtics #nba

According to Celtics resident Play-by-Play man Sean Grande: ☘️ D-White has the 3rd best net rating since he got traded to Boston at +1595 (behind Nikola Jokic and Jayson Tatum) ☘️ The Celtics are 178-65 since he arrived and 37-22 in the postseason ⬇️ #derrickwhite #celtics

I hope our whole team stays healthy but I'm grateful we have always been able to count on big Al when he's needed! 💪☘️ #celtics #nbaplayer

All I got was 🤣 reactions and comments berating me. Fast forward a year and a half later and we didn't miss a beat with KP out during the regular season or playoffs and we even have an even better record with Horford than we do with KP! ⬇️

and their team doesn't miss a beat! I remember early last season I told people that while I love having KP as a weapon, I wasn't confident in his ability to stay healthy. I also said that I thought even if he got hurt we could still win it it all with Al. #celtics #nba ⬇️

So while some may criticize the halftime show, Kendrick Lamar just called out PEDOPHILES and THE GOVERNMENT on live TV in front of millions of people. "Y’all picked the right time but the wrong guy for this one." 🎤 #repost #thesearethetimes #eluminate

—people cheered louder for the pop songs while missing the deeper message. It highlighted themes of media manipulation, groupthink, and political brainwashing. Kendrick has often used the phrase “Turn your TV off” to encourage people to disconnect and think critically.

“Nice and calm, you’re almost there. Don’t mess this up.” Right before Not Like Us, he challenged Kendrick: “Are you really about to do it?”—then, the song dropped, and the game was over. The Ironic Message? The performance proved the very point it was making in real time

“Too ghetto, too loud, too reckless.” “Play the game.” “Scorekeeper, deduct one life.” These lines were strategically placed: They played after Kendrick’s West Coast rap songs. After the lighter, pop songs with SZA, Uncle Sam encouraged the audience:

The Symbolism: Beyond the drama, there was deep symbolism throughout the performance: Samuel L. Jackson playing Uncle Sam delivered lines that seemed to critique the entertainment industry and American society: “Salutations! It’s your uncle, Sam, and this is the great American game!”
