I’m astonished by how many commentators seem to be trying to carry on as normal, and that this all just the normal kind of politics they’ve always reported on. It’s as if they are embarrassed to really look at the situation, as if someone declared they’d been abducted by aliens.

Before the US election Republicans went into meltdown if Trump was called a fascist but 4 weeks after being elected he's demanding Anschluss with Canada, the military conquest of Greenland & the Panama Canal, the invasion of Mexico & opening "the gates of hell" on Gaza. Sounds pretty damn fascist.
