Thing about these red-brown networks of 'left' media is they'll give you a boost, increase your market share of publicity, whereas recognizing them what they are might mean that you have to be political about media production, and that risks the bag!

Pushback then gets reduced to a motte-bailey structure, where the standard of criticism is not related to the media object and the ecosystem in which it exists and which you have participated in producing, but instead relates to the book (which we must buy), a different object.
