This comes as a surprise to literally no one.

An email containing plans to slash 150 Health and Human Services research projects was mistakenly sent to grant recipients.

I wonder how many Americans realize that Bribery is one of just two impeachable offenses specifically enumerated in the United States Constitution and the case that Donald Trump has now committed that crime dozens of times in his second term is a legal slam dunk. So shall we get started?

I believe it....

“Do not mock us.”

A sure sign of dementia is seeing things that do not exist or are not there. Nowhere in this entire country is any of this happening. The only money pouring in is what will be pouring out of your pockets to pay for anything.

The Trump-Musk Budget is out. It tortures to death every program the average American family benefits from while (1) ensuring that no department that helps Elon Musk’s companies is harmed one iota, and (2) dumping endless wads of cash on a missile-defense scheme Trump was already told won’t work.

I’m still baffled at how America took one of the basic principles of the presidency — the occupant shouldn’t be able to benefit financially from the office — and just said, nah, that just doesn’t count for this one guy.

Remember, those who claim to be enraged that an almost imperceptible amount of federal dollars goes to NPR and PBS are currently before the Supreme Court demanding that your taxpayer money be spent to fund a Christian school in Oklahoma that definitionally trafficks in propaganda

WIth everything else you kind of forget that the president of the united states is a crypto scammer

100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion in the 2024 election. 70% of these donations went to Republicans. Now, Trump and the GOP are gutting the FEC — which enforces campaign finance and anti-corruption laws. See how this works?

Raise your hand and repost if you agree with Keith. 👋🏾

BREAKING: Draft-dodger demands military parade for birthday.

Trump's post is a federal crime. 26 USC § 7217.

Do you know how much CEO pay has skyrocketed since 1978? 100%? 500%? Try 1,085% Meanwhile, the $7.25/hr fed. minimum wage hasn't budged in 15 years and the tipped min. wage has been $2.13/hr since 1991. This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

So much would be solved if every time someone had the impulse to say "my opponent and I agree about many things" they said "Jesus what an asshole" instead.

Extremely harsh

Sen. Ossoff: Who out there in the American public is sitting at home demanding that we shut down cancer research and Alzheimer's research?

Raskin: The lowest 100 day approval rating since polling began. He controlled the agenda. He controlled the House, the Senate— he’s got everything going for him and his numbers are in the gutter

Good Night World

I keep getting flashes of the alternative history where Harris/Walz won, and how things would be so completely different right now. Literally EVERYTHING would be better. For literally EVERYONE. Our nation would be strong & the envy of the world instead of the pariah it has become.

This is an unbelievable catch, but also, just the fact that there is a person named Daulton Varsho is delightful. It sounds like a name a comic book writer in the 1960s would give to a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Walz: I do want to give a huge shout out to our Canadian neighbors, they know that this is wrong. They stood up to it

Some people I like are replying, "No, this was okay, at least Moran pushed back," and there is certainly room for differing opinions about how this was handled. But I think those differing opinions are, in part, because we have set our standard for how journalists should confront liars too low.

Jesus Christ. You can't say "It's contested." You can't say "Agree to disagree." You can't say "Let's move on." You have to say, "Mr. President, that is a lie." If it means he never talks to you again or yells at your boss, THAT'S FINE. What have you lost? More "opportunities" like this one?

Consider what they want us to believe.

Gosh, I guess it was a mistake to put into the Oval Office a delusional megalomaniac who's utterly untethered from reality.

Big issue is we don’t have any large groups or conventions working on a Project 2025 style plan for how we are going to roll back the worst of this, abolish ice, do actual good things for the people of this country. There is no plan and they got here by having a plan. We need a plan to work towards.

We fought for our independence. We fought to end slavery. We fought against the rise of fascism in Europe. We fought for civil rights. I refuse to believe we have lost the will to fight for what is right and just.

“He is granting audiences to people who buy his meme coin. When the sitting president of the United States is selling access for what are effectively payments directly to him. There is no question that that rises to the level of an impeachable offense.” Sen. Jon Ossoff

Law professor with a reminder that “deported” is a legal term that you don’t apply to an illegal process.

Deporting children with cancer with or without due process doesn't send a message of strength. It confirms to a horrified world that the Russian asset currently occupying the White House is sinking deeper into psychopathy.

Don’t let the arrest of a Federal Judge distract you from the announcement that ICE can enter anyone’s home without a warrant to look for migrants.

This is absolutely brutal

US citizens are *not* being “deported.” They’re being kidnapped and sold into slavery. The words matter.

“How much injustice will Americans take? Has the arrest of a judge crossed a line you cannot tolerate? How about the taking of three small American children out of the country in the middle of the night without due process? Have we crossed the Rubicon yet?” open.substack.com/pub/america/...

If you’re attending the White House Correspondents Association dinner tonight, be sure to come prepared with a joke about the toddler cancer patient they just disappeared despite her being a citizen. Otherwise it’s going to be awkward when you’re mugging for photos with Stephen Miller.

Did anyone else think it was going to go longer than it did on the blue origin space trip?

It was never just about schools, it was never just about libraries, and it isn't actually about the books. It's about finding a way to banish entire people, entire ideas, out of society, back into the closet or worse. www.chron.com/politics/art...

This — the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s arrest today of a sitting judge — against the backdrop that the President of the United States is, at this same moment, defying an April 10 Order of the Supreme Court of the United States
