This is a pretty balanced take from the point of view of “never attribute to malice or ignorance what can be attributed to both.”
That being said, I don’t think we can know for certain one way or another and I don’t think it’s worth trying to know for certain. He’s a clown and he’s got to go.

I went off of Wellbutrin back in January cause I was feeling good. Turns out I was feeling good because of the Wellbutrin, mistakes were made.
I am now back on Wellbutrin.

We have those laws in America too but the people who enforce them are too busy kissing the ass of the people breaking them.

If you tried to tell someone five years ago that 2025 would consist of people shitposting MAGA wojak dinosaurs I think they might have lost their will to live.

Her losing her contract is not at all the same thing as “they’re not vetting clearance holders anymore” which I assure you they are lmfao.
That being said, I’m sorry she lost it and I hope she can find other work. Fuck Elon.

As someone who was in the Navy, yes they did take some of those jobs away. And not having them in person was detrimental a lot of the processes that were in place. There were people that didn’t get their DD214s until a year after they got out.
comment in response to

The Navy did this a few years ago (got rid of most in-person Personnel Support Detachments, the people who process pay and other HR things)…let’s just say there’s living examples if they want a case study.

Day trading is gambling. Long term investing was theoretically not, until the other day lol

If you read the bill they’re not saying SCOTUS has no say, just federal district courts. It’s a stupid piece of legislation.

Authors who are alive I will buy. Authors who are dead…well…I’ll just say I don’t really give a fuck about their estate.

I especially concur with that last point. I listened to an economist on NPR yesterday saying the numbers don’t lie and we need to tax the middle class more to fund Medicare/SS. It’s hard for me to believe that there aren’t other solutions for that lol.

But if the fed had just left interest rates low, wouldn’t that have allowed inflation to continue spiraling out of control? I know most of it came from all the money we printed during COVID, but we had to throttle back somehow, no?
comment in response to

I’m not going to claim to be some sort of economic expert, but the commentary I’ve consumed has largely said that an over correction one way on rates or another would have crashed the economy again, and until the Cheeto took office we were booming.

I would tend to disagree, I think he’s done a pretty good job not extremely overcorrecting things coming out of COVID. But yes, he is the adult in the room one way or another.

Legally they can’t and he has come out publicly saying he won’t step down if they try.

I would agree except he’s been saying he’s gonna do this shit since the middle of last year.

For computers, yes. For humans, we already know the year and probably the month, so putting the day information first, then month, then year (DD/MM/YYYY) is easier to understand at a glance.
I’m personally a fan of DD MMM YY (e.g. 06 APR 25) for human-readable dates.

Unfortunately this is one of the few sectors where bringing manufacturing back makes sense. If we went to war with China (which seems kind of inevitable) they could cut off our drug supply overnight.
That being said, fuck Trump.

There’s fraud, waste, and abuse throughout the federal gov’t. If they wanted to find it they would have hired forensic accountants.
This is a ploy to consolidate power in the executive branch.

I’d encourage you to read up on waste storage procedures. It’s so safe you can go hug the containers. Not a risk.
