They’re not gonna close schools, but partial cooling zones are not sufficient in this weather for students or staff. Schools really ought to all have appropriate air cooling and filtration systems .

I’m not a parent, and never will be, but the nonchalance toward this risk baffles me. I’d sooner let a kid smoke cigarettes. Only 15% of lifelong smokers get lung cancer. By your third Covid infection, the risk of long term complications is up to 40%.

Have an “indoor kid” who prefers reading and video games and crafts? Well, if they get the brain fog symptoms, that can disappear as well. Some people with severe long covid get exhausted just from reading or watching TV. Every hobby they love can be taken away by this illness.

Blaming the board for mismanagement when costs are increasing and y’all have been providing less and less each year to cover more and more need. That’s on you Ford. Fund our Schools!
