This provides me with an inordinate amount of pleasure - I will also accept 'The Racoons Generation' but I do have an irrational fear of Cyril Sneer - I also appreciate how niche this is!

Humour me if you will but we have the ongoing debate in our house about the house coat vs dressing gown scenario. I've just discovered these half versions and can't help but think of them as bungalow coats! What do you call them in your house?

My other half sporadically says 'see your man with the blonde hair' or 'that person with the axe', well no, all I see is christmas tree but I wouldn't change it for the world as I can sit in this wee corner and read till my heart's content 😁

Lovely festive get together with colleagues from cancer charities, though sadly missing Ana from Friends of the Cancer Centre. Cooperation is our biggest strength, collectively our objectives are to support people living with cancer, helping prevent cancer and getting earlier diagnosis.

This hangs beside my desk - it reminds me that those elected should serve the whole population for the betterment of all but sadly it also reminds me of how badly we are failing. We can no longer be held hostage by political fallouts the impact is far too great especially on our most vulnerable!

Tree finally up and Luna looking like she put in all the graft!

On the train to Belfast, dawn is almost upon us. Looking out the window at the H&W cranes and Deep by East 17 starts playing, honestly transported back 30 years to when the world had the quality of feeling somewhat simpler.

Gizmo decided to make a run for it - I decided carrying was the easiest option for retrieval. He is bigger and heavier than he looks!

Police have been parked outside my house for the last hour and a half and, I must say, I really value the proactive policing to protect my precious cars 😂

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Petrol heads get a bad reputation but really the below is very true, we are a strong community and we wrap around each other in times of happiness and in times of grief. As the great Walter Rohl said 'You can't treat a car like a human being. A car requires love.'

The wee man (9) comes home from school all biz. He got a pack of Haribo for getting a question right in assembly - the question you may ask... Name the two houses of parliament in London! Very proud mother moment but also slightly terrified that I may be raising a future politician!

Friday mood direct from my kitchen to your eyeballs

Shares appreciated 🙏 To see more photos from around County Antrim (and, most of all, more photos of our family’s Shih Tzu overlord) just click here: www.instagram.com/cmjohnstonpi... (CMJohnstonPix on Instagram) #photography #countyantrim #northernireland #ireland #nikon

29 years ago today Colin McRae and Derek Ringer won the World Rally Championship in the Subaru Impreza L555 BAT - a truly historic moment in Motorsport and one of the many reasons that I love rallying. @prodriveofficial.bsky.social

Compassion, empathy and love are critical in human connection but they continue to be eroded by people with a love of power and control. Let's help pigs see stars!

With the colder weather I thought that Luna could do with a new coat due to her ever increasing size....Dogue De Bordeaux jacket Google search had an interesting suggestion!

Brilliant day at the Community Foundation NI conference hearing from colleagues across the sector on how vital we really are to delivering services at a grassroots level and at exceptional value to public funds. Disappointed at the lack of political representation but fair play to Liz Kimmins MLA

See your boy on the left, little known fact but his dad is from off the Lisburn Road in Belfast. We are privileged to have Māori whānau and see the purest form of love and community, it's a testimony to the values of Māori #MāoriRights

Being on @bsky.app is reminiscent of my Nanny in the 90's seeing a person in the street and declaring 'I thought they were dead'. So lovely to actually see genuine, warm content. For context she also read the Bel Tel obituaries with the address book to hand - tell me other Nanny's/Mammy's did this!

FREEDOM! We made it without head gasket failure #TrappedInIkea

Escape attempt being made - light a candle! #TrappedInIkea

Thought we would pop into IKEA for a cheeky late lunch - we are still here due to the traffic chaos with the A2 closure. We've two cars with us due to an earlier event so have abandoned them both and returned for a coffee and a comfy seat! Will keep you updated #TrappedInIkea

As the NZ right-wing attempts to strip protections and rights from the Māori, they're told to go fuck themselves. This will not end well for the white supremacists.

Not one bit happy that the teenager has a girl round....'but I'm your best girl' vibes

Introduce yourself with some jobs you have done apart from what you do now: 1: Waitress 2. Retail worker 3. Advertising Executive for CarSport magazine

15M people on Bluesky!!! 💫 The Verge beat us to our own announcement — that's the beauty of an open network with public stats!

*Looks round* This is new and refreshing, think I'll stay a while. *Puts the kettle on and awaits others*
