I would highly recommend a watch if you need to hope-scroll for affirmation that courage, integrity, and truth exist and will ultimately win. We are fighting for the promise of the beloved community - the vibrant, multiracial democracy that puts the American people first.

Unfortunately, federally funded climate adaptation science and services are being cut well ahead of the FY26 budget. We've been doing our best to speak up for what would be lost if the Climate Adaptation Science Centers are eliminated.

I just really need everybody to understand that everything that’s happening in and to the global economy now (and all the businesses and people in it) is the entirely predictable result of the intentional decisions of one guy who doesn’t understand how the global economy works.

An absolute blessing to see.

Keep celebrating the wins. And keep pushing for more.

A victory for the federal scientific workforce! We could not stand by while this irreparable harm continues at NSF, NOAA and all our scientific agencies. TODAY the judge granted our request to temporarily HALT the mass firings at federal agencies under Trump’s Executive Order.

Absolutely astonishing. democracyforward.org/updates/omni...

Dr. Carla Hayden has served as Librarian of Congress with honor and distinction, bringing our prized institution to new heights.   Trump’s outrageous, politically-motivated move to fire her is despicable. The Library of Congress belongs to the American people — NOT to Trump.

This is an absolute disaster. If we don't stop this, they will turn NSF into a pawn of the Trump administration. There will be no research on climate, biodiversity, or anything that isn't eugenics or AI or how to more efficiently destroy the planet for profit. This cannot be allowed to happen.

Can’t wait to drink warm raw milk filled with bacteria and cow sh*t like it’s 1899.

Sending deep love and support to my colleagues who are scientists and climate change communicators and environmental justice advocates, educators, and leaders. I am so sorry and so horrified. We all are.

Excruciating and enraging. Beyond despicable.

So dumb! Just a box of absolute rocks.

Repeat after me: these budget cuts are theft. Our elected officials are stealing from us. They work for us, and they are breaking what we hired them to protect.

This administration can cut climate change science funding but they cannot destroy the truth. We live on an imperiled, finite planet determined by the carbon system, atmospheric gas concentrations, and biological metabolism (photosynthesis and respiration).

Don’t kid yourselves, there is no deal to cut.

Remembering today that our work is love visualized and made manifest. Be a vehicle and be available.

The President’s attacks on the legal profession, judges, and the rule of law is inconsistent with our nation’s values. Members of the legal community are invited to join us in signing this letter to ask AG Bondi to oppose attacks on the legal profession ➡️ democracyforward.org/action/open-letter-ag/

Could not be more proud.

One thing I learned as a whitewater guide and SCUBA professional in my twenties is that you meet fear with courage every day. It is there waiting for you in the morning. And you greet it as an old friend. You move with and through fear, but you do not escape it. Don’t escape the fear.

Every act of courage, integrity, care, and compassion matters right now. If you see someone act with courage, tell them it made a difference. Tell them they are not alone.

The lack of moral courage across the ranks of scientists is one of the reasons why I left the profession. There is no “stick to the science” objective bystander role - this apolitical position is a profoundly political choice. Science is about power and who wields it.

There is no deal to cut with this administration. These kind of concessions are simply clear acts of cowardice. It’s embarrassing and it’s dangerous.

Courage is contagious. Look at the courage of these educators. Thank you.

In light of the nationwide injunction on the unconstitutional anti-DEIA executive orders, I hope we see institutional compliance in advance for what it is: cowardice in the face of authoritarian power grabbing.

“Our Constitution protects all Americans–whether you are a professor or restaurant worker–from unlawful intrusion on speech, ideas, & expression, & it entitles all to fair process. Trump’s anti-equity directives violate these core protections” - @skyeperryman.bsky.social, CEO, @democracyforward.org

Absolutely elated to see this.

Please join @democracyforward.org this evening for our Town Hall, focused on the legal response from civil society to the first month of the Trump-Vance administration.

Yes, this is absolutely a lifeline for nonprofits, community organizations, and healthcare centers across the nation providing essential social services for children, families, elders. So many people have had their lives terrorized by this freeze memo.

A coalition of professors, diversity officers & restaurant worker advocates represented by Democracy Forward filed suit today to block Trump’s unlawful anti-DEIA actions. We'll continue using the power of the courts to challenge unlawful policies & fight to uphold decades of legal precedent. (1/3)

Actually, constitutional crisis is bad.

If you think there is a deal to cut with this administration and its agents, you are wrong. If you think you can simply grow small, scrub words, omits truths and THAT is the way to survive, you are going to be so disappointed.

Indeed, these stable geniuses are right down the hall from the whale oil caucus.
