First proper day off work for the hols, so decided to go & see an amazing collection of 22 original grave markers at St Mary's, Byfleet. Very well preserved & some still with the mud of Flanders on them. Does anyone know of a bigger collection? #neverreallyonholiday

Yesterday marked the 80th anniversary of the deaths of this crew when their Lancaster crashed into Worthing beach, apparently trying to avoid the town. En route to Munich, after the incident only one body was recovered. The rest are commemorated @cwgc.bsky.social Runnymede Memorial.

You know you've done your job properly when the Y1 girl tells you the nurses' story was her favourite and that was who she wanted to remember. Not my usual audience but a lovely, engaged bunch of Year 1 children at Annecy School, Seaford starting to learn about @cwgc.bsky.social And great colouring
