This is just another case that will be in court for awhile. What mechanisms would allow the executive branch to withhold funds a state paid into, especially for no reason?

To your point, Musk's interference of $20m in the WI state Supreme Court judge election backfired.

And to think that these conditions are far better/safer than if they released these immigrants at their destination of South Sudan.....

Yes! Literally, all of the problems with passing legislation that helps "everyday Americans" are rooted in the need for campaign reform.

It really does look like they are really fighting over issues that they do not want to become public.

Are you on the East Coast with the fire smoke? Great photo, btw.

I think she would be able to stay in her position if disbarred, and have other attorneys sign off on cases. No way trump is letting this barracuda go.

The whole Maga brand is being vocal about not doing your job, or anything at all in Congress to appease trump.

That old adage "Don't believe your lyin' eyes" comes to mind with all of their testimony.

Maybe a class action suit brought by, say, the ACLU on behalf not only of the arrested but others present who were traumatized and feared for their safety, by the masked ICE agents. A court order might be the only way to reveal them in this term.

This is what happens when you partner with an eccentric, drug dependent billionaire. The wild ride always comes to a crashing halt making wreckage of those who thought predictability and allegiance was guaranteed.

The mapping routes keep you off residential streets as much as possible. They are always quicker. I save a lot of time going "the back way" on those streets. So. I am for the "hybrid system".

Right? They might be covering their faces because their faces have appeared in screenshots of the J6 rioters that day. And would pop up in google image searches.

I bet could not find/ afford a defense attorney willing to lie to a judge by presenting the rigged 2020 fairytale. What a bruising way to end his days in maga limelight....

Wow! This so wonderful. And so patriotic.

They probably are not federal employees, and would be identifiable through facial recognition and/ or citizen investigators, who identified many of the J6ers.

Maybe they are not bonuses, but the request is a way to gin up a slush fund to pay these Proud Boy styled "ICE agents" off the books. Are any of the masked agents bona fide fed employees??
comment in response to

Yes! Not one person was charged in the months long hunt for waste, fraud and abuse. All along it was mostly a search for the wrongful spending aka anything that made life better for poor people who don't/ can't vote.

It recently took me several days to find a primary physician through my Covered California insurance company, because none of the providers were taking new patients. The insurance company told me the list was bought from a third party so they were not responsible for accuracy. Wow.

Spot on! It's quite ridiculous to think that the wise, stalwart advice used with many prior administrations is relevant anymore.

Is anybody calculating in the cost to individual states with the massive firings? Unemployment checks are paid by the state. None of the states were prepared for that sudden burden. What happens with their budgets?

I think they hide their faces because they do not have the legal protections federal employees have while doing their jobs. They act like off-book contract workers paid in cash with no training.

She is ramping up the cruelty and rudeness because it is how you get a better job in government these days. Look at Noem (who shot her family dog).

Showing unreal cruelty is how the Maga folks get themselves nominated for something. Noem shot her family dog and look where she is.

She summed up the entire MAGA agenda in that one response: cruelty. Every action from the WH is based in cruelty. Every one.
