I prefer to think it's not tariffs, but rather a sudden outbreak of taste, that caused the sales on these properties to break down. That Lenox Hill place looks like the barrow of a not-very-influential lich. www.wsj.com/real-estate/...

These are some jerks who need to be outed (presumably Mossad is paying the bills).

Nice lil scoop over at @hellgatenyc.com: Cuomo used ChatGPT to write his housing plan, which contains several gibberish sections. The former governor cannot even be bothered to proofread his housing plan or make sure it makes much sense. hellgatenyc.com/andrew-cuomo...

Days before ICE detained Tufts University student Rumeysa Ozturk, the State Dept. determined that the Trump administration had not produced evidence showing she engaged in antisemitic activities or made public statements supporting a terrorist organization. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

Elon Musk said he’d cut the federal budget by $2 trillion Quickly lowered this to $1 trillion Now he’s down to $150 billion And even THAT appears to be an overestimate of $92 billion So-after firing thousands of workers and destroying government services This clown will cut $58 billion Maybe

Everybody start learning the phrase "derivative presidential immunity," because if this ever does get to the courts, you're going to be hearing it a lot from the defense.

What it boils down to is: they want to send a lot of emails and because they're morons it would take too many resources to do it right, and also they think it's an actual bonus if someone entitled to stay in the country gets one of those emails and thinks they have to leave.

I’m not a lawyer or anything but I feel like you can draw a pretty direct line from John Yoo being allowed to slip back into the comforts of tenure and the occasional NYT oped to what’s happening with the CECOT and doj

We ran out of wet feed to mix with his kibble and that’s when the hunger strike began.

Prehistoric Jack Black + Dennis -> the fifteen pounds of neurosis in a twelve-pound bag currently snoozing in one of his three beds

This isn't going to end until the judges start holding lawyers and DOJ officials in contempt and throwing them in jail. Even that might not end it, but there's no point trying to delay the inevitable. They're just getting bolder and more destructive as they go.

But I do feel a weird loyalty to Jason Momoa dating back to these days. He seems to be leading his own distinctive existence one can only marvel at from a distance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAIi...

Anyway, MINECRAFT is what you would get if you crossed a fifteenth-generation mimeograph of an 80s kids movie with a low-budget LORD OF THE RINGS. At some point, someone tried to put some themes in there that might have made for a more interesting movie, but they're only visible at high-water marks.

A MINECRAFT MOVIE was...bad, but not as bad you've heard. What disquieted me about it was the casual blurring of the lines between property and sentient beings. It's of course most noticeable in the treatment of in-world "animals," but if your mind should happen to wander...it's creepy!

THREAD: The Trump administration's DOJ has removed a study from the NIJ website that found that immigrants, and particularly undocumented immigrants, commit crimes at significantly lower rates than U.S. citizens. The study is at odds with the Trump regime's propaganda about immigrants & crime. (1)

#sophiefromromania was quite nervous on this morning’s park walk but then we met one of her biggest fans, she accepted a treat from their hand and so we all deserved a #bigbreakfast

Rich people in the middle of the pandemic: I’m sorry, we can’t clarify if it’s legal for people from developing countries to download and share articles on how best to treat COVID. That would threaten our entire infrastructure. Rich people when they want to steal it themselves: delete all IP law.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year 🎼🎵🎵

It dramatically increases the risk of any harm being an irreparable one for the injunction analysis.

Every thing you do, no matter how small, to remind people that the wannabe dictators are actually sad, scared, fallible little boys is helpful. The more we laugh at them, the less fearsome they are and the easier it is to wrest power back from them. Also? These messages are effing hilarious.

Literally never heard the term "chestfeeding" before today. Turns out it's a term people use when they are or particularly want to be inclusive of trans men who don't want to call it "breastfeeding" for obvious reasons. So, people naming their own experience or people trying to respect that choice.

Haginyan, the mascot of Hagi City, is a cat wearing a historical militia uniform with a mandarin orange around his neck instead of a cat’s bell.

gen ai freezes all progress, creativity, and new thinking in place by recycling what has been, disallowing would could be. and what group of people might be motivated by that i wonder

"certain words," huh what words, I wonder; they did use the plural

Remembering the day in April 2019 when Scrumpy was rescued by the Patterdale Mountain Rescue: we'd foolishly got stuck on a crag behind Fairfield. After abseiling 100m down a cliff on his rescuer's back, he was (accurately) described in the Westmorland Gazette as a "very vocal cocker spaniel".

They definitely voted for this

Booker: "This isn't just about Mr. Garcia. This is about every American understanding that this president is making an assault on the due process rights that are afforded to people in our country ... you cannot disappear people off American streets."

I would be too scared to try to sit at this lunch table.

I know I've said this before, but in our present situation you can really tell the people who were in, and got themselves out of, abusive situations from...almost everyone else. If a person is determined to hurt you for their own gratification, THEY WILL FIND A REASON IT'S YOUR FAULT.

Ended. Up. Ended. Up. endedup

I’ve been reporting on health insurance denials for more than a year. Last fall, I stumbled across a lawsuit that, with interviews, revealed one insurers’ playbook of secret lists, special deals and lowball payments. 👇

Marco Rubio just announced 10 more people were sent to be imprisoned in CECOT. They were flown there from Gitmo to be imprisoned potentially for life based not on any crime for which they were convicted, but on unproven allegations of gang membership with no due process. This is not lawful.

this is the no fucking shit of all no fucking shits and yet barely anyone anywhere is saying it.

This is legitimately the funniest survey response I've ever seen

If the government can pay a foreign state to imprison you and, in so doing, remove you from the protection of US law, the Constitution is worthless.

I'm so used to bar bathrooms with cutesy signs that I had to stop here and ask myself if I was a Mario or a Wario

This man has not always made good calls but it's good to see him doing this.
