This is after two weeks of zero writing as we wrapped up the school year, and I pulled super mom duty. The ebb and flow of creative work is real. Sometimes it's okay to pull back, as long as you always return to the art.

Or I think about Peter S. Beagle who had to fight for DECADES to get the rights to his own work back so that, in his 80's, he's not destitute.

I hear you on the novels and the weight. I've cut out wine and eating out as much as possible and I've added a third dog walk to my days. Maybe some weights next.

Those are great summer goals. The decision to go self pub can be a difficult one, but I know a lot of people who have gone that route and been happy with the results.
