Understandable. I would still ask them if they can rebuild rather than replace, as that would probably be less expensive if you can. Just went through an awful time with both of my cars myself, wanted to try and save someone else hurt, if I could.

Also I would question them thoroughly. Those seals should be good for at least four years of regular duty. Ask them about rebuilding the caliper, rather than replacing it. see if you have any local repair places call and ask them for an estimate on rebuilding those calipers, rather than replacing.

I would very much ask for their reasons first. I usually do my own brakes, and pads and rotors are usually all you need. Costs around $100 for both front brakes, and maybe an hour of work, and that's with me having just a standard lug wrench and a little floor jack, no power tools.
