When I was 12, I got an intro to lawmaking serving as a page in the Arkansas legislature when Mike Huckabee was governor. I stood next to a desk where a woman took calls from constituents. I ran those messages on slips of paper to legislators on the floor. (You had to be REAL quiet in the Senate.)
