PSA FOR NC TRANS FOLKS! A 🧵 You don’t need proof of gender reassignment surgery to update your birth certificate! I know, I thought you did too! But I found other options buried in the application to modify a birth certificate itself, on the vital records website. You can do the following.

This is most likely disinformation or that particular agent being a transphobic bastard. State docs, including licenses and birth certificates, are not beholden to federal regulations. Gender markers have nothing to do with adoption. There are no reports of people being detained. Do not panic.

My grandmother sprung a family photo on me the day after my arthritis meds (when I am very sick) and timed it so that I wasn’t able to wash my binder last night. She did not realize I own two now. I am wearing the most fuck you outfit possible in this stupid fucking photo.

I have bought two necklaces, an ear cuff, and now a bracelet from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social in the span of two weeks. I’m not sure if my mother (to which the packages are going) or whoever on that team is shipping the orders will be more alarmed. Half are presents, but still.
