I don't know, but I do know gov buildings will have folks in the vests for an evacuation. Hopefully just a false alarm? If you're on Reddit, check r/Ottawa or r/CanadianPublicServants. If there's nothing there then the good news is it's probably not a big deal.

Definitely agree, but OMG those two young women. WTF?? It blows my mind that something so normal that even I (a pathological planner) have done it. They were backpacking FFS! I can't help wonder, too, if they would have gotten off so "easy" with only one night in mainland 'murica.
