First: @sophienovack.bsky.social reported here that Tarrant County's sheriff was flouting the Sandra Bland Act, which requires these independent investigations.

Fast-forward to now: Kera reports that the TX jail agency began implementing one of the bills filed after Bolts' reporting (even tho the bill didn't pass).
