That is really great to know, Michele, thank you! 😀 🗃️

Pleased to open my copy of @theguardian.com today and find @historianhelen.bsky.social among experts commenting on the the 5th anniversary of the pandemic

I’m very surprised to read this because the reason you gave for rejecting the panel I proposed on medieval and early modern Ireland in a British history context was that there was not enough space. I am sad that this apparently means that premodern is not included in the conversation.

Look out for content across this month highlighting our brilliant blogs: womenshistorynetwork.org/category/new... #womenhist

Today I was proud to give a copy of #NecessaryWomen to the South Australian Parliament Library! I had a fantastic tour from Frances Bedford of the Muriel Matters Society - here we are with a piece of the grille Muriel chained herself to during a suffragette protest in UK

I don't want to be on ghastly x anymore but it's where a lot of my sales come from so this post is a brazen request for shares to spread the word about my work on a kinder platform that isn't run by a dangerous megalomaniac! www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Sara... #selfemployedartist #ukgifthour #shopindie

With perfect timing for the paperback publication of #NecessaryWomen today, why not read this splendid new review by @dustshoveller.bsky.social - herself a great Necessary Woman of Parliament previously of course! londonhistorians.wordpress.com/2025/02/06/a...

I am really delighted that #NecessaryWomen is out in paperback today with a lovely new cover!

#SkyStorians #History Delighted to say my book, A Nation of Petitioners: Petitions and Petitioning in the UK, 1780-1918, is now available to order in paperback from @cambridgeup.bsky.social www.cambridge.org/gb/universit...

Anti-suffrage postcard from my collection, copyright 1909 and mailed 1912.

Today was my last day researching at the Schlesinger Library @rad-institute.bsky.social - sad to leave but what a joy to find a Votes for Women bluebird and a photo of Emmeline Pankhurst in Boston in 1909! From the papers of Mary H Page 🗃️

Good day in the Schlesinger library @rad-institute.bsky.social today with international feminist Doris Stevens - here her admission ticket to the Dáil Éireann in 1921, leaflets for the UK equal franchise victory celebrations in 1928, and flyer for French League for Women’s Rights event 🗃️

Visiting the superb Harvard Art Museums today I was delighted to come across these small stern women, one with a little dog! - ‘Two Suffragettes’ by Michael Rothloff. The name must have been given later though, as suffragette was not used as early as 1902… harvardartmuseums.org/collections/... 🗃️

Enjoyed tour of Massachusetts State House today. My parliamentary geek side was delighted to find out that the House of Representatives has a Sacred Cod, and the Senate has a Holy Mackerel 🐟

A most fun morning looking at memorabilia at the Schlesinger Library @rad-institute.bsky.social including these Women for Westminster badges! I have not seen anything like this before - @gillianmurphy.bsky.social perhaps you have?

Going through photos of US suffrage campaigner Doris Stevens at the Schlesinger Library @rad-institute.bsky.social, open a random file called ‘Friends’ - and there’s Emmeline Pankhurst! Signed by her too!

I got to meet an amazing historian and author yesterday who is visiting Boston and Cambridge for research. And today I get to listen to an #AmRev talk by the inimitable historian and author J.L. Bell! Basking in the history vibes this weekend. #lifeofatourguide #historynerd

Today I was privileged to get a fantastic Boston women’s history walk with @micheleinboston.bsky.social who I met here on BlueSky! Thank you Michele for a brilliant tour - I learned loads and enjoyed every minute

Have been enjoying researching early Congresswoman Edith Nourse Rogers at the Schlesinger Library @rad-institute.bsky.social among many things she was a WW1 Red Cross nurse and stayed interested in nursing issues all her life #HistNursing @dohertyta.bsky.social

I'm interested to hear from museums, galleries, archives and heritage org colleagues about their plans for the 2026 centenary of the General Strike. Who is marking this significant anniversary and how?
