me and my friend were so stupid to keep playing it back then. it would take hours to tame stuff but it was still early access so the servers were not all that reliable and they'd roll back and fuck up taming all the time lol

i am pretty sure taming a t-rex took us like 20 hours, though i dont remember what level it was. playing single player never really occurred to me but it sounds like it'd be enjoyable

Stop! You violated the law. Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit.

the main thing I remember about it is that there was a ton of griefing, and it took hours and hours to tame certain dinosaurs. me and a friend of mine had to take shifts doing it lol

in the remaster you get the same amt of stats to allocate every level no matter what skills you leveled up and you can put them into anything so at least theoretically it should be easier to not get completely owned but we'll see

but other games were kinda like that too, in my first Skyrim playthrough I got sneak/pickpocket/lockpicking all maxed super early and all the enemies outscaled me so badly i couldn't even damage them lol

yeah originally you'd level when you'd get a total of 10 levels in major skills which could rly fuck you sometimes bc stat increases were tied to skill levels. so if you went into town and sold a bunch of stuff and got 10 skills in mercantile and nothing else you'd get a level with barely any stats

I think pretty much every Bethesda game is like that but oblivion had rly weird levelling mechanics that sorta amplified it bc if you picked major skills you actually used you would end up getting levelling quickly but with really crappy stat increases

normally i overthink character creation a lot but this time it felt right to just dive right in and it's refreshing

hmm everyone always told me morrowind was the best one but I never really played it so idk. the changes they made to the levelling system for the remaster are nice though, you can actually pick major skills you plan to use now and you don't get punished for it

but also I bought it and I know I'm nostalgia poisoned somewhat but it looks great and it feels great and the slight tweaks to the levelling system are very nice too

buy it you'd just waste the 50 dollars anyway. or give me the 50 dollars I'll buy a shawarma platter with it. or buy yourself one. man you have so many options

of course it's good it's the same game as before that was good but they put a shiny new coat of paint on it and also the levelling is different but similar enough as to not be infuriating to me
