Thousands came to the annual PRIDE Festival yesterday in Dixon Illinois. It was a joyous, uplifting event but one man had to bring his megaphone to to shame all who entered. Fortunately four local churches were represented inside the event to remind all that God is Love.

Yesterday the Lee County Democrats in red Illinois had a fundraising barbecue. For the first time since the election, life felt hopeful again. The weather was gorgeous. The crowd was optimistic and energized. A congressional candidate stopped by. We can do this. We will not let hate win.
