I saw Stan and Garnet live almost 45 Years (!!) ago and fell in love with those songs. Yes, Barrett's and Northwest Passage and The Mary Ellen Carter still bring tears but in a way The Idiot still speaks to who we are as a people - "I take nothing free, and that makes me, an idiot I suppose".

Please don't do this Mark. Treat us like adults and tell us if we have to pay more taxes to protect and improve our country for the sake of future generations. Thinking people no longer believe and respect this "I'll cut your taxes" demagoguery in the world we're facing now.

Hey it's a Red MAPLE! I guess we have to be thankful for the subtle signaling of staunch support from the monarch whose realm 107,000 Canadians died defending. Good to know he'll bring a tree spade to a gunfight when the shoe's on the other foot.

Honestly you watch that press conference and think "but Biden was clearly losing it" - are you f-ing kidding me? He's well down the dementia trail, 25A time yet?

Last fall I visited our war cemeteries there and saw the graves of 5,000 young Canadians who gave their lives for our freedom. I should have done this decades ago - their sacrifice was so great and the current call to us to honour that in whatever way we can is so clear. It's finally our time.

Worth pointing out that both Scotty and Kirk are Canadians. So, MAGAs, want to rethink those tariffs now?

Agreed, the country they built - we must have the will to preserve it and not let those who are ignorant of history sell it out.

Thanks Charlie what a moving, wonderful speech. In October I visited our war cemeteries in Normandy and pondered the sacrifice of those young men. They gave everything to stand up for this remarkable country, I hope their spirit still burns in our hearts (I think it must in yours).

Ron, never mind the doughnuts - Montreal Smoked Meat and the world's best bagels (sorry NYC). Also go to a La Belle Provence for their decadent sous marine (submarine) sandwich.
