One legged playoff, 9-16 at home. Makes 9-16 a better reward. One less game for the packed calendar. Simples

It’s now quadrennial, so the last four winners of the CL qualify.

Yeah, an example for a sport I partake in would be golf - where form is obviously a thing. Imagine trying to tell a pro golfer or a pro tennis player that good and bad form doesn’t exist. They would laugh at you. No idea why these people try to say that form doesn’t exist in football
comment in response to post
I do love how some fantasy game playing spreadsheet nerds have just decided that good form and bad form in sport doesn’t exist. Lads, every pro footballer would disagree with you. Fuck, I’d say that nearly every pro sportsperson would disagree with you.

No worries, ones above still a help! Think I’m looking at Atleti / Milan / s/Stuttgart / Lille as the best over the next 2…

Thanks for these! Any chance you can do a LL7 WC8 focus - so just fix ranked on best MD5+MD6?

Yeah and tbf Maddison is perhaps another option as an mbeumo replacement whereas there just isn’t a secondary option behind Saka for Arsenal atm. All depends on Trent news for me really, if he’s out again then I’m loaded
comment in response to post
Fairs a yeah enticing. I could also get to that for 14 by getting Son and Saka - who would you prioritise for 13? Saka probs?

Selling Mbeumo ahead of Leicester H? Bold

I always dismissed him as a child given the nature of his ramblings, but saw recently he’s a grown ass man in his 50s/60s. Joined Jan 2024 and has 47.8k tweets. Freak

You’re an idiot. Most of us are here *precisely* because we just want to follow our sport and engage in debate surrounded it but without the attempted indoctrination to insane political beliefs.

Did he say anything on Ramseys injury?

Those 95-97 covers just gave me the biggest blast of nostalgia, 95 in particular. Didn’t ever complete one mind.

Recognise that prof pic as being an utter gobshite

Chronological as well with most recent first; that really is like being back in 2010.

I’m choosing to believe he didn’t have a relegation clause, and has signed this new contract to have one put in there.

Villa fan here. With the notion that we do not support PSR in its current guise and it made us go into the biggest season of many of our lives with an enforced handicap of being limited to only spending £5m net in the summer, can you explain why we would be backing City in this?
comment in response to post
Think we will end up mirroring UEFAs SCR, PSR is dead. Inflated sponsors seems to be a plausible way through, but they will surely be tiny compared to what the likes of Newcastle will be able to push through. We want change to allow our ambition but fuck letting them just juice in 100s of mil.
comment in response to post
Tbh even as I typed this I know it’s pie in the sky, UEFA has us by the balls unfortunately. Due to the fan operated models of many clubs in Germany and elsewhere, UEFA just won’t ever change their rules. Sigh

Fuck em. Let’s do the groundwork and get 14 votes

May as well just do away with the charade of APT sponsorship if this is the case though - it was always just a workaround to funnel money in through the guise of ‘sponsorship’ Just allow owner funding but an equitable cap across the league, job done.

Played 90 v Young Boys and Bayern (MD1 + MD2) 0 mins v Bologna and Brugge (MD3 + MD4) Think he’ll start Palace, Juve, Chelsea . He won’t start all of Brentford H, Southampton H, Leipzig A, Forest H in 10 days. Like I say could play all PL games, a lot depends on the juve result next week.
comment in response to post
6 games in 3 weeks - 4 PL, 2 CL He starts v Juve. Maybe Leipzig. Could easily start all 4 PL games but not ‘nailed’ at all I’m afraid. (Villa fan)

Agreed - just meant footy accounts + journos atp. Other UK sports im into are all here as well, so assume it’s across a lot. The key is these journos need to maintain it here. They stop posting on X, it’s in a deathspiral for everything non-politics. See how it plays out.
comment in response to post
Nearly all of the big accounts + journos are already here tho - not sure thats much to do with politics, more on how unusable it has become, as parts of the article explains. All the naysayers waffling on X about this being a lefty echo chamber just clearly like all the nonsense they get served up
comment in response to post
From a wider football perspective, I think if all the big journos continue to use this and dwindle their output on Twitter, it’s gonna lurch into a full crossover. All the PL clubs are on threads, it’s a matter of time till they’re here.

Wanted to see this v Liverpool. Seems we probs won’t see it for a while given these centre mid injuries though….
