In Italian it's "internet" with no capital, no article. Sometimes they say "l'internet" to mock-translate the english term and sound patronizing - for example, when taunting conspiracy theorists we might say "lo hai letto sull'internet?" (did you read it on the internet?), but that's not standard

I read recently (probably here on Bluesky, in fact) that Ursula LeGuin rejected conflict as the base unit of plot, in favor of change. I immediately felt this in my bones.
