There are a limited number of inside spots - like senator, for example - that give you power and authority to "fight trump" and if you occupy one and don't use it, or even use it the other way, this is actually a nontrivial bad act.

I find myself weirdly at peace with the end of the Caps season. It was a hell of a year, we got to see the best player in our clubs history break an unbreakable record, and we’re awesome throughout the whole season in a year we were projected to be a bubble team at best. I’ve got no complaints.
