You can get special fertilizer for hydrangeas that turns pink ones blue. It has something to do with the pH-value of the soil. I think you can also do it with potash alum, but the easiest way is really to just use blue hydrangea fertilizer.

The US is hosting the soccer World Cup next year, togther with Canada and Mexico. And the Olympic in 2028. If they keep going like that, it will get interesting.
Will it be safe for the fans to travel to the US to attend those events? Will it be safe for the athletes? Especially the female ones?

Next: Arthur-tv-shows. Or rather Merlin-tv-shows as he seems to get more.
My very first exposure was a German Merlin tv show. I mostly remeber the focus on Merlin as the son of the devil. Or a devil. Very heavy focus on Christian themes.

The Guy Ritchie movie only makes sense if you ignore that it's supposed to be about Arthur, and view it as a bonkers fantasy movie. Of you do that, then it's pretty enjoyable.
And totally agree on the absense of women in that movie. I'm still not sure why they did the Ursula-like-character.

It does. Language can be so much fun, especially when you trace the roots.
Another fun tidbit. I used to hate linguistic but that has changed. Maybe because I'm now inventing my own languages?

Not really a crush crush, but I loved the ship and wanted to join his crew.

No Tom Cruise involved so it's bound to be better?

I still have a German 5 Million Mark bill somewhere. At some point you couldn't even buy a loaf of bread for that.

I used to work for a company that produced power-supplies. Most of the "manual" labor in creating the circuit boards was done by women since they were better at the fiddly work involved.

You can blow people's mind by pointing out that a large percentage of erotica writers are asexual.
Came up a while ago in a writers' discord and even other erotica writers were suprised how many there were. I've also seen it in fanfic spaces with numerous smut writers saying they are ace.

Had to look up anhedonie. Fits, although I would have gone with narcissitic personality disorder.
If he'd stayed a reality-tv star running his mouth, I would have been... whatever. Maybe a bit of pity as he was obviously abused as a child.
But now? I'm opening a bottle of Sekt once he's gone.

Totally agree. He's a fascist, racist and a sexual abuser.
I don't think he knows how to feel joy. There's just a big empty hole inside him that he has to fill but can't. He's devoured by greed for money, admiration, and praise. He always has to come out on top. Be the winner.

He wants what Putin and Kim Jong-Un have.
Fits with my belief that he doesn't care about the job of president. He just wants the adulation and how everyone calls him "Sir" and bows to him. Give him that and let him sign unimportant papers between playing rounds of golf, and he would be happy.

It doesn't help that abstince-only and sex-averse/sex-hating-groups have discovered asexuality and are using it to justify their hatred of anything having to do with sex without understanding the complexity and diversity of asexuality.

Plus, a number of asexual people still want a romantic relationship, just without sex. And some are biromantic or panromantic.
And there are asexuals or aromantics who do occasionally have sex with people. Including people of their own gender.

My first Arthurian SF was Camelot 3000 (comic) which had a really interesting take, especially for a comic published by a major publisher in the mid-80s.
And I remember reading and enjoying the Ketiad-books by Patricial Kinnealy Morrison. Which unfortunately are out of print now.

Have you read any of the SF books/comics that used the Arthurian legends or characters?

What are your thoughts on Roman Arthur?
Will Arthur return to once again become King of England/Britain?
Where there any other famous or special swords aside from Excalibur?

My neighbors have a Jeep (not a big one) and are sometimes struggling to park it in our undergroung parking garage. You wouldn't get an average US truck in one of the parking spots.
They are also too expensive. Gas is expensive in Europe. As in really expensive. One gallon is around 7-8 USD rn.
