Herrn, det här är en Arby's

Lowwwww voter turnout, but still gives me hope.

That’s my thing. All I have heard about my entire life is men’s many problems. Whomst among us has ever had the freedom to ignore men’s problems?!! All nonsense. Men need socialism and a nap.

I heard Stephen A. Smith tell CNN yesterday that "people are afraid they're going to lose their job for messing up a pronoun" and it really amazes me how many people don't realize they are awash in intentional propaganda designed to make them afraid of the wrong things and angry at the wrong people

There's not a single crime in the history of the UK that would have been prevented by a bathroom bill. Not one Bathroom bills aren't about safety, they're about trying to exclude LGBT people from public life. That's it

Watched a film that spent a good deal of time in the main character's home which was full of pattern and color and texture and warmth, and a bit of mess - and it was such a nice break from stark white walls, gray vinyl fake floors, hard edges, and Kurt Vonnegut asshole illustration ceiling fans.

"Community and organization against collapse” Seen in Barcelona after yesterday’s state-wide blackout.

there really is no alternative to tearing up CBP and ICE root and branch

I simply do not understand how a NEWS ORGANIZATION is basically existing in a stage of siege but very rarely conveys in its political coverage that we are in a state of emergency

the last few days in a photo collage 😭🙏🏼 lots & lots of new babies here in our care. we desperately need donations - any shares appreciated! pawspurrs.co kohiandie.com

If they’re arguing that Harvard hasn’t done enough “in the public interest” to deserve tax exempt status, wait until they get a look at evangelical megachurches!

Look if we’re ignoring Supreme Court rulings then every American woman has a right to an abortion again

One thing I wish people understood about authoritarianism is life often looks more or less the same. Troops aren’t marching down the street every day; people go to restaurants, have their office jobs. But everyone knows that stepping out of line, even slightly, can derail your life with no recourse

I have so many thoughts & feelings about this article, primarily the near complete omission of women with ADHD, particularly adult women, who, based on recently published NSDUH results, were increasingly prescribed stimulants & least likely to misuse them. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/13/m...

This was the price they were willing to pay to avoid Biden's billionaire tax.

A universal 10% rate, 25% rate for Mexico and Canada, and 125% for China is still an insane inflationary tax hike on the American people.

I don’t know if folks who haven’t spent time in / closely following Texas understand just how brazenly corrupt Ken Paxton really is. But here’s a thread, if you’re curious…

Everyone cares too much about intent and not enough about impact. I don’t care why Trump is doing all this. I just know he’s hurting people. And that should be disqualifying on its own.

the emperor’s favorite concubine fired one of his top internal security officers while rumors abound that the household eunuch has lost the emperors favor

@booker.senate.gov dismantles a Confederate monument.

Am very happy that Tressie McMillan Cottom came back to Bluesky, but now we seem to have lost Kendra Pierre-Louis. Was just looking to see what insightful points she has been making lately, but poof! and now I am sad.

You can read the full story at the newsletter, but here's the quick rundown of what's coming from the Trump admin on Title X tomorrow. What a nightmare:

I don’t know how to say it more clearly. But being hypocritical is the point of power. It’s not being done despite of the rule violation but BECAUSE of it.

When did we all just agree that the federal government is bloated and could benefit from cuts? I keep seeing this as a throwaway statement before media outlets criticize Trump, Musk, and DOGE. But it’s transparently false. Many government offices are actually severely understaffed.

We should reject outright the framing that the answer is to cut spending, that it needs to be cut. Even giving in to that is playing into conservatives’ hands, letting them set the edges of the debate.

Kids with measles can't work. Your move, government.

🔥 “Without a level playing field — without Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion — Meritocracy fails spectacularly… it’s ok to at any point stop and admit you didn’t think this all the way through.” cc: Rep. Aron Maberry (who is carrying yet another an anti-DEI bill)

Spotted in a Brooklyn doorway by a friend this afternoon. Epic.

I wish Democrats would understand the difference between saying, "RFK is not wrong" and "RFK is exploiting your legitimate fears about health to advance a very dangerous agenda. That's what conspiracy theorists do."

A year in the life of Pippin - a video that no one asked for, but hey, he deserves it 🥰🐈✨️

Now that we are where we are I look back at the last 5-10 years and the “reasonable voices” who we all saw breathlessly encourage the fascists. I want to sit down the people who are shocked at what’s happening - after breathlessly cheering it on up until a threshold that has now been crossed -

Maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention but I never thought a dictator could be so whiny
