thx - @awarm.space & @cozylittle.house too! still WIP but having fun playing w/ atproto ideas for @leaflet.pub :)

yeah it's really good! by @salrandolph.bsky.social - more info + lots of other cool projects here! www.salrandolph.com

"WIP" is an important category for me, kind of a pinned to do list…nice to have an explicit list of active docs incl ones I work on less frequently but still want to come back to finally…some docs prob don't need categorization & should just live in an "all docs" archive + be searchable if needed

by far my biggest collection would be "leaflet", team docs! organization happens largely w/in docs (i.e. doc as TOC) or elsewhere (e.g. temp docs + drop links in chat) one interesting bucket is re: social intent…like "shared with me" & "made for others"; an inbox of docs ppl sent me could be cool!

ha just saw the suggestion to share in c/threadsky but it was easier to just reply here :P but…I wonder if you could link posts there as like quoted replies to threads you create, to bootstrap activity with just like curated/organized posts? or similar experiments

nice, I'll take a look / incl a link when I put together more notes! one idea, similar to here — rather than seeing globally trending posts (active but low signal:noise) I'd like to see the *best* examples on threadsky like…can you make 1-2 community channels really active + differentiated?

niceeee mine is almost the same haha

Cool, thx! I think that makes sense. Main thing I want to see is more good examples…show me the long posts! rn on the homepage, trending = mostly politics chatter; hard to find ones that aren't just regular bsky threads. I'd love a curated view of the best that take advantage of longform features

Yep that's what I'm seeing…makes sense! Minor thing for sure just noted as a small point of friction

For sure, super cool to see this taking shape! I'm not seeing the page now but iirc when I first connected my account, it first took me to a page that mentioned the daily digest & other options rather than straight to /links (just thought that could be more prominent + show other stuff later)!

and finally (for now!) a few others: Newdin - @newdin.com - simple thread writer & reader Streamplace - @stream.place - live video streaming Bluecast - @bluecast.app - live audio streaming SkySpace - @skyspace.me - WIP cute indie myspace clone! Surf - @surf.social - "browser for the social web"

two nice feed creator apps: Graze - @graze.social - visual builder w/ very nice UI + fancy options - analytics, version history, also testing ads Bluesky Feed Creator - @blueskyfeedcreator.com - I used to make a Leaflet feed! - lots of features; bit more classic style - both free + paid plans
comment in response to post
not explicitly social app but cool infra: Handles - @handles.net bulk manage domain handles - love the domain handles feature; this looks good for teams / communities - oh dopeee - @handles.club - "177 domains available for anyone to use with Bluesky, for free" - already a premium plan, good sign

Sill - @sill.social social link aggregation a la Nuzzel - cool that it works for both Bluesky + Mastodon - first downloads my recent timeline - then I can see links & other things like set up daily digest ("your links" should be default!) - nice design + cool beta features like custom notifications
comment in response to post
AzSky - @azsky.app long-form discussions on bluesky - not immediately super clear how it works - seems like: a threaded forum-style view for any bsky post, where you can reply w/o the 300 char limit - clever that it works with any post! - but need more examples w/ long discussion to see value add

Woosh - @woosh.link nice clean link in bio tool - not a lot of updates, but in public beta & looks good - basic profile +links now; themes / analytics coming soon - adds your bio + bsky profile by default, nice way to seed it - can customize w/ named collections of links, cool

Bluescreen - @bluescreen.blue "short video client for Bluesky" - one of like 5+ apps building ~tiktok for bsky! - feed switching seems cool (though a lil buggy) - lots of preferences; "hide repeating posts" is great, I want that in bsky - need a better video algo…incredibly random and weird rn

side note: having a lot of fun reading @erlend.sh's blog posts on Weird, related projects / visions, and Muni Town, the emergent scene of ppl working on these and related projects in the "open social web"! see blog.muni.town :)
comment in response to post
Roomy - @roomy.chat p2p group chat, a la Discord - another project from the makers of Weird - early WIP but shipped a v1 quickly & looking pretty good! - some things like threads not quite cohesive yet, but lots of potential - it'll be cool to see how this fits in w/ other tools + social ecosystem!

Weird personal webpages + (soon) "web passports" - MVP = fun link in bio tool - big aspirations e.g. collab projects & weird as "network engine" & "fully moddable websites"…love it - cool demos/writeups re: themes, revisions, projects, teams - early adopter premium subscription experiment…nice!

Pinksky - @pinksky.app photo client a la Instagram - "just" a bsky client but a whole new UI - remarkably faithful Instagram clone lol - stories = recent posts…interesting - it'll be cool to see dynamics w/ more use direct from app - kinda want more filters for explore (e.g. no screenshots)
comment in response to post
niceee I'll have to try pumpkin in smoothies next!

yesss thinking about things in this direction with @leaflet.pub e.g. interesting social block types, bluesky/atproto integration etc…would love to hear any ideas you think would be cool

For this one I like cmd-shift-arrows to move items b/c it's such a common pattern (same in all the apps just mentioned I think!) Can def do a pass on keyboard shortcuts generally & see if anyone else has ideas to improve
comment in response to post
Hahaha you know I have thoughts :P I looked at a bunch (eg Roam/Obsidian/Workflowy/Notion) but not a *lot* of space to play given browser + OS constraints…also tradeoffs to feeling more doc/page first (pure outliner apps def feel different)…curious what other think tho b/c I know we both have biases

oh nice, just started this one! I loved her book about translation (This Little Art)
