RFK made some calls and saved like 1000 jobs thus week because you know why? These people have egos and they aren't going to let some ketamine addled lunatic break their little private kingdom

Date was good, thanks. As I noted: the reason to get someone, anyone in is because they're going to tell Elon to fuck all the way off.

Russ Vought is completely convinced of the Machiavellian brilliance of himself, by the by, which is why it's always so funny when things don't go his way and he gives these sniveling, tantrum-laced interviews on Newsmax.

And now we remember that Russ Vought is an idiot.

As someone who's built and managed big e-mailing systems before, there's often no rhyme or reason what gets through and what doesn't. One of the great illusions is that we think that e-mail is this instantaneous system with no errors. That is incorrect.

New: per two sources, the email telling fed employees to report their weekly work to Elon also went to judiciary employees

FWIW, one of my family members who works for the judiciary (atty) did NOT get the email.

Chances that they're intentionally eliding Trump asking if Canada wants to be the 51st state are close to 100%, yes?

ATTENTION PLEASE, AMERICAN POLITICS: I AM GOING ON A DATE TONIGHT WITH MY WIFE. CAN YOU PLEASE STOP HAPPENING. YOUR PAL, SCHNORKLES

I would take a step back at this moment and think about what we've seen this week: 1.) Some hiring freezes are getting lifted. DOI just received the okay to hire 7700 (1400 more than last year!) temporary workers for the summer, for instance.

I tend to think its Krause, fwiw.

There are employees who work a 4x10 schedule with regular days off (RDO) Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and others with Sunday, Monday, Tuesday who will not get this email or have the opportunity to respond during working hours. There are others who do not access .gov email b/c they don't use computers.

My guess is that the qualification is "Consistent with the president's instructions" is attempting to ass cover here? I'm unsure.

lmao

Elon and DOGE aren't going to get kicked out at whatever point because they're ideologically opposed to what they're doing. They're gonna get kicked out because they're absolute idiots and it's gonna piss enough people off.

Big balls set up a server incorrectly (because lets be clear her setting up an e-mail server is apparently too much for these "technical geniuses") so the e-mail goes to spam for most agencies, continued to e-mail Article III judges, and Elon's whole "you get resigned if you don't" isn't in it.

I think Musk tweeted that, and then the e-mail went out. If that's the case, it's a hilarious neutering of his intent and I hope he gets dragged about it and has a big posting meltdown.

Division leadership in a few places have already told their staff to wait until Monday before opening it so they can figure out what to do

Oh yeah this is a serious fuckup by Musk

someone who's a lawyer: Does sending an e-mail like that to a judge that's hearing a case about DOGE cause.. idk, problems?

THEY SENT IT TO ALL THE JUDGES AGAIN

First as tragedy, second as farce, third as "oh god why are these people in charge of nuclear weapons"

Teehee

They probably e-mailed like half the Article III judges again and it's going to get spicy.
