I haven't looked at the actual lore at all (why would I? It's Doom) but in my playthrough I like to imagine that this is the late stages/fall of the pre-Imperium of Man DARK AGE of Technology. I'm not suggesting the Emperor IS the Doom Slayer, but he certainly would have found him inspirational.

The place my wife works got a new CTO, and his plan is to rewrite their entire multi-product, multi-audience stacks by vibe-coding and ChatGPT—I'm not joking. A guy who 6 months ago "learnt" Typescript to build an eBay clone with "...ChatGPT as [his] coding companion". Company is fucked, yeah?

Caught COVID at the very end of our holiday, have been recuperating at home but back at work tomorrow. On the bright side, I could binge the streams: Dark Matter (multiversal hijinx with a neat twist), Crisis On Infinite Earths (got bored), and an ep or two of Halo (a bit of a travesty). 1/4

Watching The Last Of Us (S2E2) with the A/C set as cold as it goes, for immersion, and because my wife and child are both freaks (there, I said it). And *holy shit* this scene was terrifying. I loved season 1; this (and the next scene!!) is the point I'm hooked!
