People's gravitation to Israel comes from the need to angrily point at textbooks so you care deeply about one minority group than the other.
Jews were the no. 1 target no doubt, but Hitler's reich did more than decimate the jews. Queer, anarchist, socialist, disabled were all targets of the regime.

Since the holocaust reports became more prevelent in the 1960's. The tone shifted to give jews this supposed special treatment that no other minority group ever gets from conservatives. It's 'you're all the good ones but you belong their lol'

If everyone but the most mask-off even Trump would condemn agreed that latin people should be deported in masses and hundreds of Palestinians left starving, then they wouldn't hint at it.
