Yes, the map indicates federally managed as opposed to state and locally managed public land
But accessibility is a major issue. 55% of NYC residents don't own cars, and virtually no public transit to Catskills & other state parks. And we are the ones getting sued (over congestion pricing)!

Eastern states need more public protected land. From Brooklyn, it is a solid 1.5 hours of driving to reach protected wilderness areas.
Much harder for the 55% of NYers who don't own cars.

Don't forget The Bucaneers (Apple TV) which does a fantastic job telling the story of the dollar princesses.

Q6: Aid plays a major role in de-risking investments, building infrastructure, and fostering stable markets, creating profitable opportunities for businesses while advancing development goals.

Q4: Fact: the U.S. spends less than 1% of its total budget on foreign aid.
Q5 (2): The term “conditional” may be understood as voting with the U.S. at the UN, linking foreign aid to foreign policy objectives such as peace agreements, anti-corruption and democratic governance.

Well done! I work on humanitarian action and climate change (for an organization that will go unnamed - due to goblins flying planes) and a core argument is that even with adaptation, we will continue to see climate events outstripping adaptative capacity.

Then it's the good guys turn! At 11 a.m. tomorrow 2/13 the DC District Court will hear the case against the funding freeze and firing of USAID workers. People are encouraged to attend but to do so silently, wearing black, and not carrying any signs. #SaveUSAID 3/4

Oversight and reform of USAID is inevitable but that is the responsibility of Congress, not of an unelected billionaire. Do your job!

The lies being spread by the White House and Elon Musk about USAID need to stop. There has been decades of bipartisan support for USAID and foreign assistance, and all spending is closely monitored and audited.

Americans who have dedicated their lives to bringing help to people around the world are being treated like criminals
Faith-based organizations that collaborate with the US government are being forced to close offices and fire dedicated staff

Let them know:
You are disgusted by the illegal closure of USAID and freeze on foreign aid.
Millions of lives are at risk due to disease and famine, while $8 billion in funds already allocated for humanitarian emergencies are going to waste.

3. Keep amplifying the damage being done.

You mean like US Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA) located on Kwajalein Atoll, home to the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site, and oh so vulnerable to sea-level rise
(Stopped here on the milk run flight from Honolulu to Guam)

All good, but I don't see a single mention of #USAD and the #foreignaid freeze.
Or are you for Rahm Emanuel's strategy of throwing us under the bus?
