Etiquette tip for game dev/real life: if you see someone doing something you think is wrong or ineffecient, "Hey, is there a particular reason you're doing X instead of Y?" is always better than assuming they've screwed up or don't know any better. They might be doing X instead of Y for a reason.

Ugh 😩 Spent an afternoon failing to find any fun iPad games for kids that aren't "FREE ... (for 7 days then subscribe)". Absolute trash. And instead of fixing this hellscape, Apple is like "yeah, sucks, doesn't it? Pay US a subscription if you want proper games, like what we used to sell 🤡🤡🤡".

Tried is a great article! It is super easy to say no. I've "missed out" on a fair number of games i really wanted to play but could not, in good conscience. And it's fine. I don't miss them, but me not supporting toxic people/companies is absolutely worth this tiny inconvenience!
