Honda spoke out publicly to support his trans granddaughter in 2015. He was a founding member of the LGBT equality caucus. He chaired the House Transgender Equality Task Force. Meanwhile Khanna curries favor with a man who disowned his daughter and misgenders and smears her for being trans.
