Frankly absurd. Writer of all sorts of nonsense. Nothing here reflects views of employers, publishers or my terribly embarrassed kids. He/him. #ActuallyAutistic Website: https://scottkandrews.com/

I look at shit like this and I think... Fuck, the working class in this country is finished. No one feels poor, or exploited or disenfranchisd, everyone's just a temporarily skint millionaire, so there's no need to organise or act. Everyone's thick as mince from years of Thatcherite education policy

Ooh. Where can we see info about the restoration? On iPlayer right now it looks like a slightly cleaned up SD copy rather than a from-film-source restoration. Search has been no help...

(Also, the street they are using for Baker Street was also used for Penny Dreadful so in my headcanon there are unholy eldritch goings on occurring up the road)

Agreed - it was so refreshing to watch a film aimed at adults that had actual sex and sexuality in it without it being explicitly coded as shameful and wrong.

I loved the ep but that ending was so inevitable given the bad guy’s plan that I expected it pretty much the second the ep started.

Imminently bankrupt and having to downsize drastically. There’s just no work in my field at the moment due to Austerity 2.0 and the rise of the plagiarism machines. It’s all pretty grim chez Andrews right now ☹️

Oh that’s very good, thank you. I was discussing that adaptation with Su just the other day (it’s her favourite novel) and saying how much I’d loved it but had not made it thru the book (bad Scott!)
