Plenty more according to this... 3 years jail and removal from holding office and be disqualified. Goes for the whole gang, since they were all on signal. That was a criminal act then right? www.archives.gov/about/laws/c...

Breaking the Federal Records Act (FRA) in the United States can result in serious consequences. 1. Criminal Penalties: Destruction or alteration of federal records can lead to fines and imprisonment under 18 USC § 2071. Offenders may face fines up to $2,000 and imprisonment for up to three years.

And if these messages were a breach of legal requirements, would they not clearly have to face the music for it?

Serious question. Federal records act Presidential records act. Were the above Acts not the established legal requirements banning apps like those anyways? Isn't the whole idea of oversight and accountability on the government, to make "it" the legal requirement to record everything?

I am down for hegseth to be in prison for the next 35 years. That would save a lot of grapes.

Trump's administration is in direct violation of the federal records act and the presidential records act. Under the fra and the pra, all messages and communications may be required in the future and therefore it is illegal for them to be deleted.

Great but you didn't mention how they shouldn't be using signal to remove the possibility of freedom of information requests by the government and its citizens in certain legal circumstances. The government isn't supposed to be wiping records, even when it's confidential.

Maga will believe it. Someone needs to crack that shell around Maga, otherwise you likely have enough public support, blindly following Trump; allowing Trump and his cabinet to get away with anything. The US can't allow Trump to continue being teflon. Justice matters.

I don't think you're getting it quite yet. He's a racist, he means black immigrants. He means people who come here with nothing to start a new life with almost nothing. He means technically illegally landed immigrants. He means immigrants that don't talk like him. He's just a racist.

Probably makes a domestic act of terror far more likely. I mean the FAA is stressed to its limits. Sky marshals are on 1 in 20 US flights. They are stressed and understaffed. Plus the US is bombing the people who want to do it to you. I think it's a real threat. Defense has never been so low.

Fox should be dismantled. It's chief in misinformation which the USA desperately needs to start addressing seriously. Or don't, and allow the brainwashing which led to this. And the far right wing media ecosystem needs to be investigated by appropriate authorities with teeth. Can't afford not to.

Screw poor taste. We need a level playing field. We can't go into trenches expecting to keep our ceremonial whites - pure white. We're going to get muddy, or lose entirely. They haven't cared for a decade. So I agree with you. They're fake, we can't afford to be complacent. Crockett nailed it.

Kakistocracy: a state or society governed by its least suitable or competent citizens. Yes the USA is living this definition for the next 4 years. 49% voted for this. Start there. Get the majority "there" to wake up. This is the best reason for free post secondary education for everyone.

I'm definitely not against those aggregate results. I'd bleed for that. Which makes sense, because it's more democratic, less authoritarian.

This is all making me get the itch to deep dive into Israeli politics as well. I don't know how or why Israelis would have voted for this man. Are they really a country with this much hate in their heart? Or is it like America?... 50% fucked the other half.

Within the next 4 years, what are the chances of another terrorist attack on your sovereign soil? I'm not trying to create fear. I'm concerned this will actually happen. Defense is now laughable. Your enemies are watching close. There's still time; get Trump/maga out now.

Imagine being in a military where all this is happening and you know you're also never going to see veteran benefits. When you lose an arm and can't find a job when you come back because they gutted the VA too. That's demoralizing. You'll have many that walk away. Not everyone is there for honour. 🫩

A criminal holds office with immunity. It has to start there. That POS is allowed to do anything and pardon himself through SCOTUS. Though Barrett and Roberts might well be wild cards in the end. Simply put, the president shouldn't be president anymore. The US didn't vote on this.

No no, it's just that he prefers the ball massages from JRE, tim pool, tucker, and his new buddy Pete the rapey baby. How long until he lets hegseth have a go in court? Wait, I see a pardon coming.

I have no personal experience with cooperatives AFAIK. However, on the surface yes, democratically controlled business seems like a good idea. More of us will have a say in where profits lead, or how often we sell out to the USA bids on Canadian companies.

This video explains why the tax rate they pay now should be higher. Essentially, they have a far far far far bigger slice of the overall pie, and there's a growing poverty line. youtu.be/QPKKQnijnsM?...

Further it compares total tax revenue paid by the elites then in the 1950s and more recently in the 2020s, but it doesn't consider what wealth distribution is like now. While the plutocrats pay roughly 5% more now, if you can believe it, watch this video to understand why I don't care about that.
comment in response to post
Yeah that would be good, I believe this may be a summary of what you're talking about. In the USA it got that high according to their references which included the IRS. Though it says here the majority of the elite paid roughly 42% after deductions. city-countyobserver.com/did-people-r...

And Canadian owned... We don't want American plutocracy anymore. We don't want their wealthy to get any wealthier on our bluenose dime. We don't want their politics, we don't want their elite to fund their campaigns of hate off us. Our hands should be clean.
