Wash your clothes. and your dog.

This is simultaneously brilliant and bougie. I think this falls into the "I won't brag if I win the lottery, but there will be signs." Other generations had saunas and in ground pools; successful millennials will have dedicated dog wash stations.

@jsit I regularly call up Alfredo's to order, and when ordering through them it's their own delivery. Their two cheese pizzas for $27 deal is a decent way to feed a crowd. It's not amazing pizza but it's solid.
I think Beauty's in Cambridge also does their own delivery if you call or order […]

That said, despite the struggles of the past year with my work, family health, and the political environment, I've had one major success, in my efforts to build up the @communitypedalpower.org E-Bike Library.
Next month, I'll be giving a talk at Aeronaut on April 16th about the project.

@DemonHusky @max_in_somer I still have memories of being stuck at the Beacon/Somerville Ave intersection for an uncomfortably long time in the midst of an unexpected downpour. Solid agree.

@max_in_somer It definitely seems like a win for the neighbors on Mossland - Makes the street much quieter.

@max_in_somer the plans look great! I'm honestly shocked they're capping off Mossland - it's a good choice, I'm just surprised they'd do it.

And, after I've done all that effort, I still have no guarantee that I'll be permitted to host.

This form. It is entirely too long. It assumes you are hosting only one band? So many fields are required. This is not good #UX. I am just ranting into the void tonight because I was ok with submitting an application when I thought it would be a 5 minute […]

The new application form is also UX nightmare, but I'll give them some grace for a volunteer organization.

I don't think we talk about the cognitive burden of #transit enough. There is a lot of planning that goes in to a transit ride.
- Do I have fare/how do I pay fare?
- What's the schedule departing? Will there be options for my return?
- How far in advance do I need to leave to get there on time? […]

A point that this video doesn't make but I wish was covered is that transit is often more accessible than bikes. This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately while caring for health issues of myself and those around me. Biking, even e-bikes, require a lot more energy and movement […]

And before any nay-sayers* jump in the comments complaining that it’s the fault of bikes somehow that traffic is slow -
1. It’s not
2. There’s no bike infrastructure on this segment
3. The guy was riding on the sidewalk**, so not affecting traffic
* jk my mastodon is a well curated pro-bike […]

@scottsthoughts "there may be certain streets where bands will not be able to play"
hmmm....maybe they should also have a similar comment of "there may be certain streets where cars will not be able to drive"

Oh and I missed Marianne Walles, who had previously run for Mayor and has now repurposed her committee to run for city council

Another site with cool photos of #Boston trolleys from years past. We should bring back hats. No one wears cool hats any more. https://www.bygonely.com/boston-railroads-early-20th-century/

Sure, this feature is 15 lines of code which took me like 2 hours to figure out, but there's also like 100 lines of test with really gnarly data mocks to go with it which took 2 days.
