Could model potential inflation and increase in superannuation pots (over assumed time frames before the threshold is changed) and project how many people would have what percentage impacted in what scenarios. I feel like we'd have seen those models already if it was clear, instead FUD but no data.

I'd really love more detailed research to understand why that 26% who statistically don't and won't be affected by that tax, and knowing the tax won't change who has more money than other people, (the richest will remain the richest), why do they disapprove?

Anyone who has been involved in protest movements for any length of time has seen some version of this! The police riot! They riot regularly!

Morrison is far too narcissistic to pass up a moment in the spotlight.

Worth sharing the wide version of the video with the police in view for much longer: youtu.be/t42UBBolOvo?...

Hard to get more up to date statistics, but in the years around the time of forming Australia Border Force arrivals by boat were far more likely to be genuine refugees than those able to arrive by air. It was never about people smuggling.

Remember Operation Sovereign Borders (OSB) is operation led by the Australian Border Force and is the mob that do the turning back of boats. Labor boast of increasing funding.

To answer my own question. The current government is boasting of spending more on Border Force and Operation Sovereign Borders.

Call in the USA ambassador to Australia, ask them point blank: Are our journalists safe reporting from your soil? She was absolutely targeted intentionally and judging by the posture of all the other cops there was no justifying pressure or context.

Certainly under your clothes. I think I was just assuming covered arms, as even light clothing over skin will resist scratches if you’re on the ground. I wish this didn’t make it sound so exciting. If things go bad it’s the sort of thing that can stay with you as trauma for a long time.

"Scott Morrison sought advice to obstruct Nauru asylum seekers from accessing abortions, documents reveal". I guess he'd claim to have been god's work, even with the evidence of sexual abuse rife in the offshore processing system.

Consider a second mobile phone if you can afford it, with nothing personal on it, nothing you'd be prepared to lose. Consider going without your phone if you can't afford to lose it. Know the phone numbers that matter, if it's going to be very spicy, permanent marker the numbers on your arm.

And don't imagine that we'll be better under Labor who continue to back and strengthen Border Force and Operation Sovereign Borders. Offshore processing of asylum seekers, which is well document as leading to abuse, is still government policy.

My early 20s, but same, and they were hard years. She didn't make it here for Under The Pink, but she toured Australia with Little Earth Quakes and Boys For Pele, I was lucky enough to catch both and they were astonishing experiences.

And then in 1992 we got Tori Amos, Little Earthquakes

At some point we need to structure our economy so that great wealth is directed toward entrepreneurial endeavour, not stifling growth through hoarding wealth away from circulation and application.
