No, there are too many syllables.

So, I'm gonna guess that either the Atlantic or the writer doesn't understand what a "democracy" is.

My *god*, he's so bad at even *basic* stuff.
Like, I don't even need to *imagine* how a Democratic POTUS might have responded to someone trying to assassinate a Republican politician, because we *have* an example of it!
And people claim that somehow Trump bears *no* responsibility for this shit.

Love the speculation that even his own family got sick of his shit and kicked him out.

Guess Usha decided to take the kids and visit her parents *after* JD filled out the RSVP.

Given the man's apparent target list, those "flyers" (literally just a pile of paper with the words "No Kings" written on one side) were either put there by him as a false flag, or they were planted by police.
Either way, I have serious doubts he's *actually* connected to the protests.

It's certainly preferable to some equivalents I've seen proposed.
If nothing else, it's an actual statement, not just some cheeky way to say "fuck [the president]" without upsetting the decorum police.

Do we have a source for this, or is this just an assumption?
I'm not saying the assassin *isn't* a cop, but "armed thugs pretending to be law enforcement" is a real concern.

Sure, chief.

Not gonna lie, the "slapped with a fine" as possible punishment is a bit disappointing.
Given who's likely to have the authority to try this, I kinda doubt a fine is really that much of a deterrent.
That said, it's solid grounds for removing several people, and that's a good thing.

Probably?
I mean, they probably drugged a *lot* of people, so I can't exactly say I don't understand why. You don't leave incriminating evidence like that laying around.

Calling it now: this is going to be another instance of the CIA paying a bunch of scientists to experiment with various drugs, both on themselves and possibly unwilling test subjects.
And ultimately, the results will have been some bad trips and a lot of wasted money.

As with many current events, there's a handy Andor quote that addresses this.

I'm not *surprised* Rufo is in favor secret police disappearing political opponents of the regime.
I'm also not surprised that he'd say so openly.
I wish I lived in a world where I could be, though.
