CORRECTION: I've been streaming on twitch not since 2013, but 2011, meaning I have even more videos which will get auto-deleted than I previously thought.

This doesn't even get into streamers who have retired, died, or otherwise stopped what they were doing. Not everyone can or does have a backup for this stuff, and in some cases, these channels are self-contained libraries because of long-term archival.

And many of the games I end up making videos of on YouTube, be they highlight compilations or reviews, often use footage from archived streams. I do have a YouTube archive, but even with that, I'd still lose about a 4-year stretch of highlights and footage.

For casual streaming, it's even worse. I've been streaming for over 10 years and played hundreds of games on stream. My highlighted streams of Bard's Tale IV alone account for over 150 hours.

For speedrunning, a massive amount of recordkeeping for speedruns by sites like SRC is done through posting twitch highlights. This could end up nuking entire leaderboards, especially for categories or games with runs that last more than a couple hours. Despite mostly sticking to shorter runs...
