I haven’t always been a huge “State’s Rights” guy, but, frankly, I don’t agree with shaking down state Governors to follow likely illegal orders under threat of withholding all federal funding.

Thanks and congrats @philadelphiaeagles.bsky.social

I actually love the partially clear scorebug - how has it taken my whole sports-watching life for us to maximize visibility of play on the field like this?

Northeastern fanbases are not easy friends - but when there’s a chance to take down this morally bankrupt team from Missouri, one is obligated to say: Fly Eagles Fly 🦅

Jayson Tatum, the best player by a mile on the defending champions who absolutely nobody wants to play again this year never even gets a sniff for MVP. Tell that to all the celebs in NY at MSG tonight who watched him dominate the #3 team in the Eastern Conference all night.

Excitedly tuned in to Lakers/Pacers figuring they must have flexed it into a weird 4pm timeslot for Luka’s debut. But no, for this nationally-televised game, Luka & LeBron are both taking some rest. All these rule changes by the league to make them play more are really working!

“Potential changes to school meals and food assistance programs could negatively affect nearly 22,000 students and more than 75 schools in Maine.” The change would take us from around 80 qualifying schools in Maine to FOUR.

“I expect the administration to follow the court order - and the law.”

I would simply not hand the keys to $2 trillion in life-saving spending to an un-elected South African Billionaire.

Release the funds!

We’ve had the time to dust our shoulders off and get up. We’ve learned our lessons and studied our winners and losers. It’s past time to be doing what we each can - as maddening as it is - to continue to fight for the next generation, so we can be proud of what we pass on to them.

In my 30 years following, and it’s really hard to imagine in any Celtics generation, there’s never been a competitor like Marcus Smart. It’s a privilege to see him at The Garden again tonight.

I think we should increase rather than eliminate all funding to provide healthcare to veterans who have put their lives, bodies, and minds on the line for our country against our enemies 🤷‍♂️

3 W’s in one month, 3 re-elections in CD-2; says every single thing that needs to be said.

Great to see @speakerfecteau.bsky.social elected to lead the Maine House, Mattie Daughtry as President of the Senate, and the entire 132nd Legislature sworn in! Here’s to Joshua Chamberlain still presiding in the Senate Chamber, too.

This is not my experience with hotels, to say the least.

As Notre Dame fans, Eleanor and I are brainstorming if there’s a way for both teams to lose the big game today.

Andrew Duhe wanted to do something to celebrate his wife’s 40th birthday besides buying typical presents. So he paid for 40 shelter dog adoptions. “It’s honestly the most sentimental and perfect gift I’ve ever gotten,” said his wife Jennifer Duhe.

And we’re off for Thanksgiving break in Boston, Hingham, and Chatham! With these two little ones in tow, pray for us. @mrsemilydresser.bsky.social

Incorrect - ask me how I know.

If we want to deal with the massive deficits we’ve been running for decades, we’ll have to stop believing zombie lies like “dynamic scoring” and get serious - we need to cut the fat where it exists, and increase revenue where we can @nytimes.com

Eleanor and I still believe @patriots-mirror.bluesky.bot

Apropos of nothing at all, decided I’m bringing my 3 year old to the next meeting of these two teams, his first NBA game, on my birthday on NYE. We cannot wait 😢

Also, how many orange bow-ties for Mr. Blippi?

Between professional and certain “goober troll owns the platform” reasons, have not tweeted in so long. Trying to remember how to do this…

Just applied for a spot on my town’s Comprehensive Plan Committee. Been saying I’d get involved on the local level and then getting too busy for years. I just hope they’ll have me but finally, there’s no more room for excuses. I suspect I’m not alone.

www.nytimes.com/2024/11/06/u... Beautiful Sunday read on an Ultra runner’s *250 mile* trial of grit, adaptability, and perseverance. Someone many of us could learn from after a tough week.
