NEW: updated long-run gap in voting between young men and women in Germany: Gender divide continues to widen, but contrary to what is often assumed, young men continue to vote roughly in line with the overall population, while young women have swung sharply left. www.ft.com/content/29fd...

If you're trying to figure out what to do right now, my advice is to just pick a thing that you think might be useful in some way, however small, and do it. Doing a thing leads you to doing another, bigger thing, and prepares you for that next thing.

Has to be a Foka Wolf?

Pastina soup made. When all else fails- nourish.

I sat with a paramedic yesterday who was trying four different CAMHS teams to find any out of hours support for a paediatric mental health crisis. There was nothing. Now my loved one is on a children’s ward. Still waiting.

Basic, unsexy sh*t that’s been lost but would make a massive difference for us as patients: - Day centres - Volunteer work without DWP pressure - Community rehabilitation teams - Having the same careco for more than a year - good supported accommodation

“Love is contraband in Hell,” writes Assata Shakur in the poem Love, in her autobiography. “‘cause love is an acid that eats away bars.”

Back on it after a five year hiatus. Lovely to be back in the room.

What a privilege it was to be part of this incredible event - the premiere of playwright Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti’s interpretation of @midwifeteacher.bsky.social @lostmothers.bsky.social research, exploring the compulsory separation of mothers and babies in custody, followed by a thought provoking Q&A.

You’re not over reacting

Children’s Mental Health week. Until CAMHS functions no amount of awareness raising will mean anything. A waiting list of 1 year for urgent treatment. No crisis team.Children being sent out of area for inpatient. The impact on the child, parents, families is unbearable. My family is one of these.
