My youngest son asked me to take him on a picnic today, so I did. We grabbed some towels, sandwiches, fruit, lemonade, and ice cream and had a picnic at the playground in my apartment complex. Within 15 minutes, a group of my neighbors' kids joined us. Now EYE have become "the neighborhood Dad" lol.

My personal "5 years since the start of Covid" moment is remembering that in 2020, the US discovered it had allowed almost all its mask and PPE manufacturing to transfer to China for cost savings. In 2025, PPE is still almost all made offshore, and we just encouraged China to end shipments to us.

When you pick your insurance plans you need to be reading thoroughly and picking accordingly . Also if you have Medicare , you can get braces for free . Theres ALOT available under the umbrella of Medicare . & I know this bc I work with insurances for a living

It's intentional, IMO. Both my mother and my former stepfather worked for the federal government, and I attribute many of the advantages I had in my childhood (at least on paper) to that.
