Hey 🎢 🍎 friends, check out the link in my previous post for some cool PD with 1.5 cool people (Kris is one cool person)

Join me and the amazing Kris Newton for a #modphys E&M workshop this July! It's online, so you can join from anywhere. Great for building understanding at a level needed for AP Phys 2 or AP Phys C or anyone who teaches E&M and likes thinking and learning

Hey, it's us. imgur.com/gallery/fonz...

Wolf Like Me by TV On the Radio

2017 Astros get booed for life. I don't make the rules, but that's the rule.

Ah yes, the expert on how academia should function: the guy who's banned from three different university campuses for sexual harassment/assault.

Student: what's your favorite cosmic void? Me: do you mean like Eldritch horrors, or like astronomically?

TFW your students are figuring out how many seconds in a year (to calculate Earth's orbital acceleration) so you start singing Seasons of Love and they look at you strangely because they've never heard the song

I can't quite articulate why I absolutely hate every time I hear a politician use the word "workforce". Is it because of disparity in which youths we tell to aspire to whatever they can dream and which youths we tell to aspire to being an employee?

I’m Autistic, And Believe Me, It’s A Lot Better Than Measles. (Vaccines don’t cause autism. But even if they did, is being like me really a fate worse than death?) A thread drawn from @fodderfigure.bsky.social's recent TPGA article: thinkingautismguide.com/2025/03/im-a... #VaccinesSaveLives 1/

The sole purpose of creating a "high quality" category is so schools can be obligated to buy stuff from companies who lobby legislators.

Being disabled is not a moral failing, character flaw, or result of bad “personal choices”. We all become disabled eventually. Clean water, safe food & a healthy environment are great. Everyone deserves access to them. But they will NOT cure disability. Pushing rhetoric that they will is eugenics

Phoebe and Joey from Friends meme, but it's me demonstrating carefully constructed multiple representations & problem solving strategies...and someone interpreting that to mean take all the numbers in a problem and multiply them, then multiply by 9.8.

Anyone else notice that their physics students write math expressions for one side of an equation but don't write an equation? And then do nonsensical math because they lose track of what that's equal to? Like 1/2*9.8t^2, so 4.9t^2, so t=sqrt(4.9). No? Just me?

I was just talking with my D&D group of teachers about folks teaching lessons via TTRPGs, and then I saw this today. And it's on sale right now. And fey adventures are absolutely my thing.

AP C Mechanics class watched @fnoschese.bsky.social video of dropping one end of meterstick with erasers placed every 5 cm for us to notice & wonder. Wonder: how many takes did he need to get that shot?
