Watch how I refuse to integrate. These suggestions are trash. This government is trash. My mom agrees. It's cold today so I'm wearing a sweater. I might bake some cookies later. Most importantly, you will never, ever get me to use 'whilst' in a sentence. Suppose I'll get deported now.

Back by popular demand ... Hope it's not too early to gear up for the next Peepal Conclave 🐤 🐤

I love events where 59 is 'young'. #conclave

We now go live to our seagull correspondent, who will be first with the news. #conclave

I've got the electric heater on in my office and I am livid.

*drunk at the conclave* nooooooo don’t pick him he sucks

Thank you Trump, for defeating another right-winger. #auspol

“And I’m like, what do you mean, you ‘do your own research’? You running a double-blind study in your living room, dawg?” - A guy walking ahead of me with his friends on a NYC sidewalk in 2021, also my favorite overheard dialogue of the entire pandemic

Finally found a cab and made it home after the mess at Cambridge station, three hours late. But I did find a really good pizza in that time.

No trains moving north from Cambridge station. Avoid!

If I was American, the lack of Lao Gan Ma would definitely make me start a riot.

Everyone watching Pierre Poilievre eat absolute shit in Carleton and respecting Canada's bilingual culture.

3000+ vote lead with 10 polls to go? Yeah I think we can call this one folks

The forever-correct way to translate Canadian parties to other countries without using their politics for reference

PHEW. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Wetherspoons is now to the left of Labour. What a time to be alive.

Fellow Canadians, we can do this. I'll be waking up super early tomorrow to (hopefully) good news. #ElbowsUp

Stand up for trans rights 🏳️‍⚧️ Have just donated to @goodlawproject.bsky.social to help fight the Supreme Court’s harmful decision: goodlawproject.org/s/c41bb8

I'm going to run for office on a platform of banning these giant wall clocks in the UK. Things are terrible, but that's no excuse for ugliness.

This statement about the transphobic Supreme Court ruling by the UK's Crab Museum (yes a museum about crabs) is better than 99% of the statements I've seen on the topic www.crabmuseum.org/visit 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀

Britain wakes up every day, aims the gun at its feet and pulls the trigger. Just a prolonged exercise in meanspiritedness and self-harm.

Have just cancelled my Labour membership over Starmer's anti-trans comments yesterday. Good riddance.

Monstrous. Starmer and the rest of his government can get in the bin.

What in the world? This is insane from the BBC.

POPE PIZZABALLA ✝️🍕 www.theguardian.com/world/2025/a...

The joys of working in a medieval office: the facilities staff have finally turned off the heat. On April 22nd.

I...

The cardinals are going to choose the most hardcore right-wing pope ever, aren't they?

For real though, how do people afford children?

Sorry but I just don't feel comfortable sharing public toilets with transphobes. At any moment they could just demand to have a look at my gennies. The law should protect women's spaces from these creeps.

Hardening off my squash, zucchini and corn.

Are we alone? Maybe not, but we're not claiming we've found aliens just yet. I've been working on this story flat-out for the past month and I'm so excited it's finally live! www.cam.ac.uk/stories/stro...

The law determines what is legal. It does not determine what is true; what is just; what is morally and ethically sound and defensible. The history of law is the history of the legal system being wrong on these grounds. Trans women are women.

Ugh. This country is so backwards. Love and solidarity to my trans sisters, today and every day.

Niche thing: I often write about very early-stage medical research, and people often get in touch wanting to be involved in clinical trials. I always point them to clinicaltrials.gov to search for trials, and this morning, I wondered how long that will still be a trustworthy resource.
