Ordinarily I think Labor can rest on being just 1 half step to the left of the major RWNJ parties. Suddenly, with no strong opposition on the right, they have to stand on their own feet and get into actual policy debates with other parties. At least: that’s what I hope will happen. Please 🙏

Curse typos.

While writing this I overheard someone say to someone else — regarding their computer — ‘all my letters are in capitals except the “i”’s.’ This alone unleashes chains of thought, uncovers other curses. I wonder if it relates to the Turkish alphabet. I wonder why we even have “capital letters”.

I sent this skoot prematurely as I was late for a thing. I wanted to hone in on the topic of typography in particular. Knowledge of typography leads to opinions on typography which leads to misery.

I was going to say “except curses” but you’ve proven me wrong there. Cues you!

The study of these banana layers combines the “archaeology” with “technical studies” and concepts from the study of decaying “manure”. These 3 fields are combined to form the word “architecture”

Fresh banana towers are built on this until they too collapse creating a new layer of congealed banana mash on the compacted banana layers underneath. Over decades this builds a solid banana firmament reaching to banana heaven.

I just did a deep dive. The “found footage” may allegedly be 31 years old — but the movie itself came out in 1999. So 26 years. (Still…. A lot of years)

Youth is wasted on the baby teeth which fall out by age eight and don’t consider it an enjoyable experience at all.

Credit where it’s due. He’s also directly responsible for many of his former lawyers and friends going to jail. Not all bad.

Maybe a smidgen. Though I’m not doing so bad as that skoot may imply. How are you going?

Not surprised by this but certainly delighted 🤩

Remember the copy cursor? You could move a second cursor, the copy cursor, and it would teleport characters from the copy cursor’s location to your normal cursor’s location. It was a strange and magical beast.

My inner seventeen year old kept forward to shout “No, it’s a recorder. Those things kids play in schools. But played well.

I went looking for Kurt Vonnegut’s made up word for “comforting lies” (“Foma”) and found it plus “Vranya” and a huge list of other types of lie here — en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie#Whi... We humans sure know a lot about lies!

“American Progress (1872) by John Gast... Columbia, a personification of the United States, is shown leading civilization westward with the American settlers. She is shown bringing light from east to west… On the left, Indigenous Americans are displaced from their ancestral homeland”
