We must get these cowards voted out of Congress. But more importantly, this messaging needs to be telegraphed to red districts around the country.

Listen carefully. What Trump wants and intends to do, was made clear by his lawyers in the Supreme Court yesterday.

WATCH: @RepSwalwell explains why the SAVE ACT — just passed by House Republicans (and 4 Dems🤔) — is voter suppression that would disenfranchise millions, especially married women who changed their names. PSA: Non-citizens are not voting.

No shit!!!

Under the Trump administration, federal authorities are declining to charge crypto firms with a range of offenses, raising questions about which rules apply—and who will enforce them. www.wired.com/story/the-us...

Raskin: They want to go back to the idea that the law doesn’t apply to them in anyway, they’re not bound by the law, and they can use the law to crush other people

I'm not a Christian, but the Catholic church has a great line in their version of the Lord's Prayer: "deliver us from evil." I keep repeating it over and over in my head these days.

Marth Stewart went to prison for insider trading on *one* stock. Marjorie Taylor Greene bought *17* stocks just before Donald Trump declared his "pause" in tariffs that caused those stocks to rise in value. How many others were tipped off? How many stocks did Donald buy? Ivanka? Mike Johnson?

A little light relief to start the day

"A Wall Street Journal analysis of daily financial statements issued by the Treasury Department found government spending since the [Trump] inauguration is $154 billion more than in the same period in 2024 during the administration of former President Joe Biden."

Hats off to Maine’s Gov. Janet Mills. Unlike too many others, she refuses to bow to Trump. “I have spent the better part of my career listening to loud men talk tough to disguise their weakness,”. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/10/u...

I. Am. Pro-Choice. Your life choices are your own.

My 10 year old sister and I got Social Security payments after my father died from exposure to Agent Orange. It helped my widowed mom when the family lost his income. He paid into it his whole life. They even took it from his check while he was serving in Vietnam. Jeanine can go fuck herself.

This was three months ago.

The U.S. House this morning is considering the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote. Right now, people must attest to their citizenship under penalty of perjury. Voting rights groups warn many people would struggle to provide the required proof.

Ratpublicans are such stupid assholes. Of course a woman that marries and takes the spouse’s surname doesn’t match her birth certificate. You don’t change your birth certificate, it would screw things up completely.

Under new voting bill, if a married woman has a different name from the one on her birth certificate she cant vote. Dear Sisters, don’t take your husband’s name

Members of Congress should never be allowed to trade stocks. Period.

From my older daughter:

Just now…

How very hypocritical 😐

Feel "FREE" to RE-post.

How ugly is the State of our Union? There’s a belief that public Education is a plague, healthcare is unnecessary, science is out of step w/ superstition, wages should be at third world levels, the military industrial complex is underfunded, our environment comes 2nd to coal & people are just pawns.

No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks. We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

Only a mentally ill person would think they can be a draft dodger, consistently insult veterans, active duty military, and dead heroes, and think they deserve to have a military parade in their own honor… Just sick!

if you want to bring back the prosperity* and security of mid-century american life then you need high rates of unionization, a generous social insurance state, and widespread, freely available education. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

War hero schools a chickenhawk.

If you are stocking up, please make sure you buy beans. Add beans to your list and spend about $8 on beans during each shopping trip.

The Pitt is the most realistic medical show ever

What makes this visual even more stunning is that it was made possible by people who said their #1 concern when voting was the economy. What idiots.
