far from the most consequential part of this, but it boggles my mind that WB went through the trouble of patenting monolith's nemesis system -- an incredibly cool game mechanic -- only to fail to redeploy it in any meaningful capacity and, now, close the studio

From what I hear, all the "performance" is AI inserting fake frames between the actual 30fps it natively gives. I imagine for rendering/creative purposes it's not gonna translate as well.
I hear 1080 Ti's are still pretty beastly if you can find them
