I did absolutely no story stuff today but I did a ton of exploration in the overworld, found a bunch of interesting optional areas, grabbed some cool gear, and had a lot of fun zooming around with <redacted> #Expedition33

So we're now on the third attempt to make me a new pair of glasses. First pair fell apart when the optician was adjusting them. Second pair turned out to be frames that had been recalled and the manufacturer didn't tell the optician until we chased. Picked out new frames. Third try will be lucky?

I got some #Expedition33 time in this evening (first evening of the week with nothing on) and I think I'm starting to get a handle on how to use Sciel. And it occurred to me after I turn off the PS5 that I could switch Gustave out and have all three of my girls in the party. They will DESTROY 😁

Thank you to my lovely staff who gently explained that it's May and we have a bank holiday on Monday that I'd completely forgotten about so we can't plan a deployment that day. Yay surprise long weekend? 😂 How the fuck is it MAY already.

The fact that #Expedition33 was made by a team of thirty people in a new studio is amazing. It looks so gorgeous, it plated so smoothly, and the writing is excellent. It's also heart breaking, but that's because I care about the characters so much already and I've barely scratched the surface.

The thing that I really enjoy about turn-based combat is the puzzle-like strategy of looking at the turn order and figuring how how to use my characters to feed into each other's abilities and do maximum damage to bosses. It's really satisfying when you get it right.

I think #Expedition33 might be my entire personality for the next little while. It's so good. Such good writing. Such lovely crunchy RPG mechanics to dig into. So gorgeous to look at and listen to. I'm so glad is living up to the trailers that made me excited in the first place.

Taking a lunch break but this game is absolutely beautiful. Both visually and through the use of music. It's also so emotional #Expedition33 So many feelings on life and grief and how people live with the knowledge of their death.

Today we had an entire spa experience, got thoroughly scrubbed and massaged, which was fantastic. And then in the afternoon I got brave and went swimming in the pool. Lovely day 😁
