THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center say results of a Phase I trial of an mRNA vaccine aimed at preventing pancreatic cancer show promise. The vaccine PREVENTED the cancer from coming back in patients who had already received treatment for MORE THAN three years. 🧪🧵⬇️

If going to space for 3 minutes makes you an astronaut then I’m a gynecologist

NEW: Alliance Defending Freedom is urging Trump to cut ties with the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, org that helps recommend which women's preventive services to cover—including birth control. Letter cites "items that can prevent the implantation of embryos after conception"

Finally!!! Academics have been raising concerns about these partnerships for years.

Because people are talking abt Hanania again, here’s my story exposing his white supremacist past - and, I would argue, present. Straight-up eugenicist who wrote for Richard Spencer. Wtf are we doing here, why are people so determined to make him respectable www.huffpost.com/entry/richar...

THREAD: The Trump administration's DOJ has removed a study from the NIJ website that found that immigrants, and particularly undocumented immigrants, commit crimes at significantly lower rates than U.S. citizens. The study is at odds with the Trump regime's propaganda about immigrants & crime. (1)

#ChagasDisease has the most severe impact among Latin America's impoverished communities but it is increasingly detected in other parts of the world. 100M people are at risk of infection. bit.ly/3vFipLv

I did something yesterday which may sound v. old-fashioned but which I recommend in these insane times where knowledge is under attack. I took out an annual subscription of The Encyclopedia Britannica. Costs 75 $ per year. Excellent gift for your student children, too. Don‘t rely on google.

Everything else about this aside, this is the apotheosis of the long-standing conceptual framing that ideas are "viruses" that spread, or in this case are trafficked...

Imagine trying to deport someone for their "expected beliefs"

Now this is a sport I could get behind!

I wish more people were talking about the prominent Prof from Indiana whose home was raided by the FBI, was fired (with tenure) and scrubbed from the University's website, and then disappeared like he never existed. #notnormal

Say it with me: money is not an indication of intelligence

As major public flagship and private universities fall like dominoes to the current regime, bolstered by billions in endowments but no strong adherence to espoused principles, smaller schools such as LMU in Los Angeles have this to say:

At least 95% measles vaccine coverage is needed in all communities to prevent #measles and stop outbreaks. The only way to prevent measles? Two doses of measles vaccine. Let’s close the gap and keep measles away!

I think we need to be prepared to fight in the streets. If we see this happening, yell like there's a baby trapped in a burning building. They're operating like the SS, so we have to get loud. We're socialized not to make a scene, not to argue. We need to recall how to scream.

Yes, Fox News, I have definitely texted the wrong person before. In fact, I've done it numerous times. The difference here is that my erroneous texts revolved around lunch details or sending an article to a friend -- not outlining attack plans that put our troops in grave danger. Hope this helps.

What was dumber: including a journalist on a signal chat about your bomb plans or then calling that journalist “bottom scum” while he still had the screenshots available to publish as your colleagues were already committing perjury

nobody is immune to propaganda, but it does help if you can develop a moral framework independent of a book you read when you were twelve

Today I found out from Facebook that I had died. I am not dead, but my image, along with many others, is being used as part of a global crypto scam that creates fake news about real people and is deployed through Meta's ad platform, sometimes using AI. open.substack.com/pub/marcowen...

Imagine being a dude in the year of our lord 2025 and told you can’t enjoy soup or milkshakes anymore cause you won’t look masculine enough. What an awful and boring world these types of people have made for themselves. Any expression of enjoyment is deemed weak in their eyes. A darn shame. 🍜🥤

YouTube’s play button doing the lord’s work

Something that slipped my mind earlier about using journaling to keep track of things, you should keep it physically, not digitally. The reason why I say that is so is that it's something hackers like DOGE can't go after. Maybe that's paranoid, but considering what they have access to...

Here's a reminder that not all genocides are violent. Some happen quietly, behind closed doors. We'll outside the public eye. www.thetrevorproject.org/research-bri...

In the midst of genocide in the US, I would like to make a couple of suggestions on how to combat it: 1: Journaling. Write about what's happening. Use it to record information and vent out your frustrations. 2: Follow trustworthy news outlets. Don't be afraid to fact check stuff as needed.
