I do want to say that I believe diagnosis is important. I understand it's prohibitively expensive for some and don't blame you one bit. But if you truly believe you're autistic and it's within your means to get tested, I feel you should. Tests like these should not be the final say.

I'd never heard of the RAADS-R test for autism before today. I'm already diagnosed by a team of grad students + a PhD from a big university but figured "why not?"
I wish it had a "comes and goes" option or some sort of "I've felt this way at times but not every time" option. Oh well.

The ONLY way companies allow the public to speak to them is with our dollar. It's the only language they speak and frankly it's a shit language.

When employees strike, I boycott. When the company pulls anti-consumer shit, I boycott. Sorry Wendy's, you're next.

"Gotcha" journalism on fascists just makes liberals go "See? They're harmless idiots." It's actively harmful. I hate it

Most people assume tech is full of autistic people. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if tech had more autistic people than the global average. BUT... how much more?

I've been thinking a lot about "civic responsibility" for *some reason* ever since about 2016. I think being a part of a crew with similar objectives makes me feel comfortable that we're in this together. I wish it was easier to feel this way about my country and my neighbors.

After being diagnosed with autism as an adult, I have so many "it's not supposed to be that way?" moments... and this is another one.

The same cynical side also thinks that stores want to show us the minimal expense up until the last possible moment.
Fuck these stores, I'm going to shoplift more.

The most cynical side of me thinks that if you pre-calculate tax on multiple items individually, you'll end up paying a few cents less than if you calculated tax on them all together. The grocery store gets those cents for making buying less transparent.

What companies think goes through my head in a grocery store: "$19.99? Just what I need and for less than $20!"
What happens: "$19.99? Is this worth $22?"
The lack of trust is baked in. It doesn't matter what price tag you put on it, we all know we have to pay more. It's just so stupid.

Especially with the unhealthy but tasty foods, I feel like I "fail" if I don't finish the whole thing. Can't let the bag of chips win.

Oh wow, no user input required to get that prompt. I don't like this one bit.
